Greater than one week...if you like to use an HT a lot in your vehicle. This is a simple design, a dummy battery with a 12V plug coming from it to power the radio from the cigarette plug. It is easy to swap out the battery and get on vehicle power. If you want to use the BTech 6X2 as a mobile, this is a must-have. It works well and its very reasonably priced. Another excellent product from BTech!

> 3 dayI am currently using this item in my home with a 12 power supply. The DMR 6X2 is working perfectly with it and I am not discharging the batteries that came with the radio.
