I have to be honest, the first time I saw these diaper cream applicators I thought they seemed a unnecessary (and maybe a little silly). BUT after more than 5 months of having the desitin under my nails from diapering twins, I decided to give them a try. Conclusion: I wish these cream applicators had been in my life sooner. They apply a thick, even layer of desitin or other barrier cream and are easy to clean up. I have one for my tub of desitin and one for my tub of aquaphor.

These are awesome!! You dont have the mess on your hands, able to put a thick coat on, and you dont have to use as much.

These are necessary for any parent with an infant. Love that my hands are always clean and I can put it on my little ones tushie in the middle of the night and have nothing to clean.

These are a great idea for putting diaper cream on your babys bum, especially if you have long nails. I find it easier to just use my fingers to apply cream though, so I cant imagine anyone needing 2 unless you have 2 different changing stations. As a new mom, you could definitely go without buying these. I would only suggest them if you enjoy having long nails.
