This is a fantastic toy to teach the life cycle of a butterfly. Plastic is durable and strong, and wont break. I would recommend it to anyone growing butterflies

This Life Cycle set is great because it is the life cycle of the Painted Lady butterfly, which is the one you get when you send away for caterpillars to raise in the classroom. I keep it in the package so the kids can remember the order of the life cycle - they love feeling the egg, caterpillar, chrysalis and adult.

I work at a school and I got this for the science teacher, who loves teaching life cycles and animal life to our kindergarteners. She loved them, they are realistic but not creepy, they are great for educational purposes, their size is also pretty nice, fitting in your palm but big enough to have detail.

I wish the egg had been smaller and on a leaf. I think keeping the size ratio correct across all 4 stages is important.

This is exactly what it looks like. I used them with some Montessori cards I printed out and laminated. The kids were able to match and sort and order with these life cycle stages.

Insect Lore always has great products and this one is no exception. This will be a great visual when we do our unit on caterpillars and butterflies.

Great learning tool to reinforce Life Cycles. They are small for little hands to handle. They are a tough plastic that can withstand a lot of handling. Would be great for a kids who likes animals. Would also be great in a classroom setting.
