C7 Red Christmas Replacement Bulbs - 25 Pack Ceramic String Lights Opaque Replacement Bulbs for Xmas Patio Fence Roofline, C7/E12 Base, 5 Watt

I bought these about a year ago and am just now trying them out. Ive already had eight of these new bulbs burnout within a few hours. Im kind of surprised that with that many bad bulbs, Im not reading about a lot of similar experiences. This is an update. Its been five weeks now and a total of 23 out of 100 bulbs have burned out. They seem to burn hot and bright as if they were designed for a lower voltage that we use in the U.S. I just dont see how this product can be rated as high as it is with a 23% failure rate. And my bulbs are indoors and are not being hit or moved etc. So its not like theyre in a harsh environment.

Love the way my Christmas houses light up with these colors.

I personally did not like how light the green coloring was. Also I had multiple bulbs that would not work from the new package .

just your basic clear glass xmas bulbs, they have a good color to them, but I use them inside paper lanterns, for xmas lights you probably dont want the clear glass kind, but those opaque ones in stead, for paper lanterns these are good because the glass is clear and lets more of the light out

For whatever reason, these were delayed during shipping - thats on UPS. Once received, they were well packaged so none were damaged. However, while putting them on the light string, I found that a couple of the lights did not work - that is on them. I didnt see any loose wires when looking at the bulbs so the failure would have to be internal. I would guess that 4% failure is acceptable for them. That is the reason for the rating.
