I like this unit because you can check from 0, without worrying that the base is level. Is your table saw not level? Not an issue! Set this on the table, set to 0, set it on the saw blade (magnetic), and set blade at 90. Then you can verify by hitting 0, while still on the blade, and then transfer back to the table, and it reads 90.

I was tired of the bubble levels which could never be deemed accurate due to the angle at which you look at it. Finally got this, (along with a Laser level LOL) and finally started to see right angles matching up and things fitting without gaps. Worth the investment.

It showed up cracked on the side of the casing. When I looked closer (touched it) it fell off. I was sooooo livid... but tried to use it anyways, still worked! Pretty damn accurate too! Still, I don’t like my shiny new things to come broken. If anyone is going to break it, it’s going to be me! That’s why I only gave it 3 stars overall. I pain full price for something that came defective. And it was wrapped well too! That’s what makes me believe it was done before being packaged. There was no damage to the shipping box or product box so it had to be. Otherwise it’s cool!

Ive used several different brands, and while consistency seems to be largely based on the user, and variables outside of the control of the device, for the most part, with skillful use, it can be highly effective.
