> 24 hourI wanted to us this with my hub that had a built-in drive. I was really happy when I received it but unfortunately it shorted out after 2 weeks of us. This is not a cable I use when Im on the move. So, basically after setting it up I didnt move it. Not happy! I would not reconnect you purchase this cable.

> 24 hourI purchased it for iPads external monitor, because the original one was for usb3.0 which didn’t satisfy the transportation of iPads data, so it always crashed. Now it’s better.

> 24 hourIm a professional cinematographer and filmmaker and needed something that could handle a number of daisy chained TB3 hard drives, 3x USB 3.0 drives, a TB 4k monitor, and speakers and this one works perfectly. I tested other high end docks on the market and they ultimately would fail when I utilized all the ports at once. Additional issues I had with other docks is that they would have a tough time handling 1.2 mini display port monitor. This one did not. I feel very confident giving this product 5 stars.

> 24 hourThis cable is certified at up to 40Gbs. I was running some disk speed tests to compare this cable to some NIMASO USB4 cables which have a theoretical capability to support 40Gbs, but arent certified to run that fast.

> 24 hourWorking as it should. Bought to connect seagate firecuda hub I bought but this cable also allow me to connect my MacBook to wide monitor that has USB-C port. Give excellent resolution and sharp text and images in 4K.

> 24 hourRunning an eGPU with no issues. The sheath is thick and seems durable, but the cable should still be treated carefully as its connector housings are plastic.

> 24 hourGiven what a mess USB-C is (i.e. one connector but lots and lots of cable nuances), I appreciate that CalDigit marks the cable connectors with a 3 and a Thunderbolt to signal that the cable is in fact a Thunderbolt-3 capable cable. Since its active, it can transfer 40GBps. Passive cables longer than 0.5m will be limited to 20GBps. While those numbers sound immense, keep in mind that a 4K display at 60Hz will consume ~13GBps.
