Greater than one weekMy first impression of the 10 gallon steel air tank is its large diameter and weight compared to my old 7 gallon no name cheapie. The weight is reasonable for its capacity and the round tube handle makes it easy on the hands when carrying it around (unlike other tanks with sheet metal handles). I love the fact that it already comes with a quick connect on the output since it can be used for a multitude of tasks straight out the box. The tank thus far holds air with no leaks. It does appear to have the same cheap manifold as every other tank so I fear it may start leaking like my old one, or the plastic handle could break like some other reviewers have said. Time will tell. The included hose with tire chuck had a cheap feeling and a strong import vinyl/plastic odor to it. Since the tank has a quick connect I just use a curled yellow air hose with it. Overall, the tank is of very good value. Especially compared to a certain 11 gallon yellow air tank thats only a tad cheaper.

> 3 dayI bought two cheaper tanks and both were DOA. Just as well because this is a very nice tank; especially the plumbing provided.

> 3 dayAt 28 lb it seems quite heavy but it seems to be the best on the market. If I had to do it over, Id buy the aluminum version as that one weighs only 13 lb. I was not impressed with the attached air hose or ball foot air chuck on the end so I threw it away and replaced it with a 6ft piece of 1/4 Flexzilla hose with the replaceable fittings and a higher quality air chuck.

> 3 dayLightweight and holds air with no leaks, so far. The brass fitting are junk, though. Do yourself a favor and buy fittings the shops use- Milton.

Greater than one weekThe tank is very light and seems to be well constructed, but almost all of the fittings leaked (all but 1 of the 6). I spent more time than I would have liked trying to fix all of the leaks. Not a major issue, but all fittings should be checked before the tank is used. Also, the gage is placed in location where it runs into one side of the tee. Your best bet is to reconfigure the fittings/gage so there is limited interference. Because of the interference, the first tank I received had a smashed gage. The packing of the tank in the box was poor at best. If anything of weight was placed on the top of the box, the gage is likely to break. Was able to send the tank with the smashed gage back with no issue. New tank arrived in a couple of days.

Greater than one weekI guess its going to be ok. I think its got a small leak right out of the box. I dont expect the shut off valve with the lever to live very long. You got to be on the fill valve just right or it wont seal .

> 3 dayNot happy with the finish of the product. 2 dents on the tank, a few scratches, and the end of the tank was clearly resprayed with what looks like a rattle can spray paint. I will be looking to have the item replaced.

> 3 dayI dont know if this is better than others or if they are all pretty much the same but I love mine. Its super lightweight and is great for small projects that would otherwise require taking my air compressor with me. I just wish they made a 20 gallon tank.

Greater than one weekCalifornia Air Tools are well made. I have a compressor along with this portable air tank. The portable air tank is quick coupled to the compressor for additional air receiver volume.
