Canon 3623B002 Document Scanner

Purchased his scanner to replace a smaller one. We were looking for speed and high capacity. This scanner is fast for sure. A couple of comments though. When loading the paper, it has to lift the tray up to start scanning which is a bit strange and reminds me of a ramp on the back of an airplane. The other thing is it is a bit loud. It is installed in a smaller office and it is much louder than its predecessor.

Purchased this scanner a week ago and have already scanned 11,000 pages. Ive been very pleased with it so far, coupled with the CapturePerfect software. A previous reviewer spoke about the slow loading of the paper tray ramp and the loudness of the machine. I agree with both. In a small office setting, the noise can be distracting to others. The speed is incredible. I can scan a 1,000 page document in 25 minutes, and that is legal-size, double sided, 600dpi, OCR, rotated, and descewed. The greatest part is I do not have to stand by the machine and check for misfeeds. I can hit scan and walk away without worry. Per 1,000 pages, Id say it might misfeed once if any. The software detects double-feeds by length, and ultrasonic. In other words, it would be very difficult for it to pull through two sheets without being detected. Overall, a great machine with the exception of the noise.
