A Selphy printer is a compact Photo Printer, that makes 4X6 prints. When a regular computer prints a photo, it is done by ink from a cartridge. Heaven forbid you get it wet, the ink runs off when wet, and the print is done for. The Selphy was originally developed by Kodak, but they put themselves out of business when they invented digital chips. There was no longer a need for film. Canon bought the rights to the Selphy, and improved the design. I does not use liquid ink, but a plastic roll, with red, yellow, and blue. The printer sorts it all out and gives you a professional print. It also coats the print in a thin layer of waterproof plastic. Finger prints do not show on the print. Certain cameras can print directly to it, but I use my computer. Great gadget!!!

Get these. Do not use off brand generic version to safe a few nickels . these work great

Gave my adult daughter a printer that these go with, have one myself, and always work without a hitch. The bulk purchase is actually a group of smaller packs for cheaper price so no open boxes other than the one youre into at the time.
