> 3 dayFor many years I use this series of printers, which for me is the best Canon has ever had as DYE SUBLIMATION and I have 5 impressions because I work selling photos at events. Im very upset with Canon for suspending the making of these supplies we need to work with. Before we bought it for $ 28 and now its over $ 70. It is very disrespectful to the customer who bought this model and now or you buy the supplies for an abusive price or throw away the printers as trash . VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH CANON !

> 3 dayOh, I was so excited to buy this product, based on all the reviews I read; here on Amazon and elsewhere. So I ordered it. Oh well, Ive lost money on other purchases as well. The unit is very easy to set up, and if you follow the beginners guide, you can generally produce the prints you want with relative ease. Once I set the unit up, I was able to print out several photographs from my memory card. The prints are decent, though a bit washed-out compared to what you can generate via a printer. On day two and subsequent days, I was not able to generate any more photos. I tried over 10 (!!!!) memory cards, and each time, the screen reads: CANNOT READ DATA FROM MEMORY CARD. CHECK THAT THE MEMORY CARD CONTAINS IMAGES. They do. Well, that was it. I havent been able to print anything on this since day one, as I get the same error message. Even when I connect the unit to my computer, I get error messages. Dont even get me started on what it was like trying to deal with customer service. Scratch that. There was no service for this customer, just a lot of run-around which led to a representative who said something of the effect, Gee, thats really strange. To read these other reviews, I may have got a bum unit, as buyers seem to be happy with the product. I was too until it petered out on me. I suspect part of it has to do with bugs in new technology. Oh well, I still have a printer attached to my printer. And Walgreens.

16-11-2024I have purchased 3 other Sephfy printers and this one is even more awesome than the rest. Everyone that sees it thinks its so cool. I love the easy of use. Being able to format from the printer is its most attractive feature.

> 3 dayThis printer is great for small here and there pictures that I want printed. I have a photo printer I used before but in the end this is more cost effective. To print about the same amout I have to buy 2 differenet inks plus photo paper about $75. I would only use this for small jobs because sometimes it doesnt accecpt some of the pictures on ur card. Easy fix for that is if u open up the pic in windows paint and save as and save as a jpeg. Pain in the butt but it worked for me :) over all Im pretty happy with this printer for what I use it for, I got it in a pkg deal when I bought my canon rebel for a sick price!

> 3 dayI just bought this printer last night and I LOVE it. I printed all 50 pictures in the photo pack with absolutely no problem. No, it doesnt come with the USB cord but I just used the USB cord from my old printer and it was a perfect match. I compared the quality with pictures I had printed from Target and they would equal if not better. I wish it told you how many prints you have left before the ink/paper is gone and maybe it does but I havent found the option yet. The ink is a little expensive but I think its so worth it for the convenience. I always have problems at the photolab, from the kiosks being down, to the kiosks not being able to read my memory card or disks, and of course, rude customer service. I took some awesome pictures of my tree and ornaments last year and plan to send them out next Christmas as cards thanks to the postcard on the back of the prints. Anyway, Amazon is selling this for over $200 and I bought it locally at Best Buy for $85.99 and I saw it advertised at Bestbuy.com for only $99. Its only $150 on Canons site. Hope no one pays over twice the price!

Greater than one weekHaving had more than my share of compact ink jet photo printers, I was a little skeptical of the all-in-one cartridge system used by the Selphy ES40. I was also, however, tired of prints never coming out right, paper that was reluctant to feed, near interminable waits, etc. This printer is the modern day equivalent of a Polaroid camera. You just insert the cartridge (for 50 photos), easily select the photo via the dial (which works very much like Canon cameras (or like an iPod, you can spin it or click each of the four directions)), then press the print button. Out comes the picture with no fuss. It wont smudge and watching each color layer appear in succession is interesting, too. Take note: the printer comes with NO paper/ink. You must order it separately. And while the lab will certainly be cheaper, itll also take a lot longer and a trip to the store or waiting for the delivery. We got this printer to replace what Polaroids used to do... quickly print a picture with no fuss. It does that wonderfully.

> 3 dayThis isnt my first Selphy but I like it better than my previous ones. I do a lot of traveling and I love the way this one is compact. I also prefer the way the cartridge is set up with ink and paper instead of being separated n the other version I had, less to keep track of when Im out and about.

> 3 dayI love it. The quality of the photos are better than what I get from local Walgreen or CVS Photo. Yes, it take long to print a single photo but the wait is worth it for the quality of the print. I wish it had large print version.
