Canvas Crossbody Bag - Small Messenger Bag | Vintage Shoulder Purse

Bought for friend the bag is very nice heavy duty but at the top of the flap where the decorative leather tabs are, the tab on the left is not sewn and riveted in the same position as the one on the right, it is angled down and lower than the other one, the material underneath is pulled towards the center of the flap causing the seam underneath the leather tab to be crooked, and it is now causing the canvas to bunch up at the end of the leather, gives the impression the bag was hastily made with poor workmanship, as it is one of the first things people see. Also the leather tabs that the straps go into are not as straight as they shoud be. I would return it for a different one but I no longer have the packaging.

Well made, carries my daily stuff in an organized way. Keeps my pickets from getting full. Good color, goes with everything.

I was looking for something big enough to carry what I would need for a day in New York City. But not so big that it would get in the way or prevent me from going into museums and such. I havent taken it to NYC yet but I think this will work.

Gootium has an exceptionally well-made vintage messenger bag! Its not as large as normal messenger bags which is great as an alternative. Stitching & other workmanship are first rate. Materials used, including bag lining, are also excellent in quality. Its a super, versatile satchel at an affordable price. One note for convenience: While the two leather straps are attractive, Id recommend replacing the brass fasteners with sufficiently strong magnets. Its still a super satchel!

Leather is imitation layer over split cowhide. It will crack over time. Great bag overall. I use it all of the time and like it very much. it seems to be durable, but this is not a bag to wash in the washing machine. It will ruin the leather. It is better to clean it by hand, or use Woolite if you have to submerge it in water.

I was looking for a sturdy satchel style purse that I could take on trips or just around town. This is a nice option. I really like the space inside (its bigger than I thought it would be), but its still small enough to not be obtrusive. The strap adjusted to allow it to be cross-body, which is important to me. It cleaned up great when I accidentally spilled coffee on it (because Im never without coffee). The only thing I dont like is the two leather flaps in the front. After using them, I realized Id like it better if they were snaps. This doesnt prevent me from using this as my day to day purse.
