Capri Tools CP21023 Portable Oil Drain Pan, Anti-Freeze, Green

I purchase this oil pail for my husband to do his own car oil changes. He says its great that its wide enough to catch the oil once the nut is unscrewed. For the clean up part, he mentions of the spout being a little pain to clean, but that was all the negative. Other than that, he says it is a great product.

This thing is awesome!!! Highly recommend if you do your own oil changes it makes life so much easier...this is very sturdy and doesnt soften with hot oil in it like other cheap pans

I was expecting it to be made out of thinner plastic. Pleased with how it feels. Holds plenty of oil. Fairly easy to transfer it back into a storage container.

This oil pan is made of sturdy plastic. No flexing or bending. It has a large area to catch your draining oil, and has little to no issues with splashing. I prefer this style of oil drain pan because I just use the pour spout (which is also nice and sturdy) to pour the dirty oil back into the container from my new oil. None of those crappy horizontal screw-on lids that dont actually seal tight enough to hold oil. This is the way to go. An oil change is never going to be spotless, but clean-up here was easy enough with paper towels and some soap.

I looked at all the local stores trying to find a decent drain pan large enough for 3.2 gals of diesel oil with no luck. I have a 5 gal one with a built in drain pan and small hole in the center, but it splashes oil and doesnt flow enough oil. This one works GREAT! It holds 13 quarts comfortably, but I wouldnt recommend it for more than about 14. Its big enough I can hold it near the drain plug and not worry about missing the pan or splashing out when I yank the plug. Its sturdy enough to last for years and cleans up nicely with a rag and a quick squirt of brake cleaner.

This pan is big enough to easily catch all the oil and the double rim is cleverly designed to let you pour into another container without having to worry about spilling.

Does what its supposed to. And to empty it is a breeze. Should have bought this sooner.

I like how big and sturdy the pan it. I also like the spout to pour oil, its a nice feature.

Its hard to get excited about something like an oil or coolant drain pan, but I love this thing. My previous oil pan drove me to fits because it was impossible to drain the old oil out of it without dripping oil from multiple places all over the floor. This one is awesome. After draining most of the oil out, I tip it up on its side and just about every last drop drains out of the spout, just like it is supposed to. I also love the large size of this thing. Im very happy with this purchase.
