Car Cane

Ive got my doubts about this Car Cane that cause me to rate it only a three-star product at this point. Over time, that rating is likely to change...but whether it will go up or it will go down remains to be seen. It fits my car doors as advertised and my 93-year-old father has successfully used it to help him exit my vehicle. However, he is a 200-pound man, and the car cane seems to be constructed in such a flimsy manner that I am beginning to have my doubts as to its durability...much less its safety. It is a lightweight tool and I simply dont know how long it will stay in one piece if subjected to a lot of stress and weight put on it. Will it come apart and cause a fall? Is it actually more dangerous to use one of these than not to use anything to help an elderly person reach his feet? I wish I knew. The general flimsiness of the tool also has me wondering if it is actually capable of breaking out a car window under emergency conditions. Since there is only one way to find out...who knows?

Easy to use and extremely helpful for some people

These were for senior friends of mine and they really enjoy them.

I bought this for my father-in-law for Christmas and he is absolutely in love with this thing. He is 85 years old and has a real problem getting out of his compact car. The car is real low to the gound and this product allows him to stand up with ease. Thanks for a great product.

This product did not fit in this car!!! The metal post was too thick to fit.

I bought this for my mother who has trouble getting out of the car. She said she had seen this advertised but she had already pre-judged it as being flimsy. To her surprise she found she was wrong. Every time she uses it, all she can do is sing praises. She is very satisfied and is extremely happy that I got this for her. Great Product!!!!!

Great little tool for those who need a little extra help getting in and out if vehicular. Bought 3, 2 as gifts and one to keep in my Jeep for those who might need a little extra help getting in, like my 90 yr old dad, who also loves it.

I bought this device to help my 92 year old mom get in and out of the car! It is such a help for her to have something to hold on to while getting in and out! Easy to store in the doors pocket. Highly recommend for anyone with mobility disabilities - huge help!
