I have one of these under all our car seats, they have saved our leather seats time and time again from spills and crumbs.

The mat is not sturdy, the weight of the car seat with my child on it causes it to bend and fold easily. I wouldn’t recommend buying this. After a month of usage it’s loosing its shape and you can notice the marks left by the car seat. It’s too thin that’s the problem.
