Zipper broken and poor workmanship on the seems

Nothing to dislike. Great and strong backpack that holds laptops, chargers and other accessories.

Purchased for nephew for school. Straps broke last week. Not even 3 full months of use and past return window.

Not a big bag, I would say it’s a medium size bag for me (I’m 5”11). It will look small if you are a bigger guy. This is the 2nd generation, the laptop compartment is on the side with zippers, good for quick and easy access, it barely fits a 16 inch 2019 MacBook without case. The front pocket is redesigned, got no complain. Overall a good everyday bag for work or school.

Id been searching high and low for a reasonably priced mens backpack that had a luggage sleeve. I was leaning toward this one because it was the same type of fabric my sons carryon bag was made of. Didnt realize it had the luggage sleeve until it arrived. Has plenty of compartments and a dedicated padded laptop section. I added some colored zipper pulls to better identify since its all black.

It looks even better in person. Looks cooler than all the other Northface backpacks with the brown color scheme. Its slick. Its buy it for life. Its worth the 100 bucks. Get the bigger size

Strengths: Durable exterior constriction Practical, medium size and capacity Nice look and feel Weaknesses: Questionable interior material quality Single zipper exterior pouches Laptop compartment zipper design My biggest concern is the interior compartment material quality. It seems wildly out of character when compared with the exterior, which is excellent. Next, I dont know why all the exterior pockets dont have dual zippers. It seems trivial until you have one slightly overloaded and stuff falls out as you have to pull the single zipper all the way up and around to gain access. Only the main compartment has two, leaving the other three with slightly awkward access. Overall, I like the bag but a brand like Carhartt should be paying better attention to the details at this price point.
