Caron Simply Soft Brites Yarn, 6 oz, Mango, 1 Ball

Caron Simply Soft (CSS) in Grape colorway is a nice bright yarn that pairs brilliantly with the Iris colorway, which is a very bright darker purple. They provide very good light/dark contrast for each other and work well with White as a complementary neutral.

Very nice orange/apricot color. Reasonable price for length of yarn. Easy to work with.

I love this yarn!

This is very bright yarn, moreso than I thought, but I like it. Its definitely prone to splitting, which may not be as big a problem with crochet as w/ knitting, but its still a little bit of a problem. If I catch a stitch from the previous row the wrong way, I have a strand sticking out. Ive gotten the hang of *not* catching a stitch like that, but I think it shouldnt be happening. Really soft and yummy to work with and to wear. Its a very light weight worsted though; the recommended hook is an H (5.0mm). Compare that to a recommeded I hook for Red Heart Soft, and a J hook for the Red Heart Super Saver yarn. So if you want something that drapes well, this is great, but Im not sure how well it would stand up to frequent use, like a kids blanket. I may be wrong about that, though. Im making a light weight lapghan right now for an adult (me), and Ill try to remember to update after a few washes.

Very costly for such thin yarn. I had to double it to make it substantial enough for a crochet afghan.

This order more than met my expectation because this is a discontinued color and I was in the middle of a project and was fearful of not finding more of this color.

Very soft and beautiful color.
