> 24 hourI used Ko-Cho-Line Leather Dressing to clean 6 high quality leather dog leashes of various lengths and 2 leather dog collars that had been packed away in tightly sealed plastic storage bins for over 5 years. When I removed the leather items from the plastic bins, the doggy odor was overwhelming. I seriously debated just throwing them in the trash. Knowing how costly it was going to be to replace all of these leather items, I rashly threw them in my washing machine with copious amounts of detergent. After washing they still had a horrible doggy odor. I had read that sunlight can destroy bad odors, so I left all of them outside in the sun for several days. The smell actually disappeared but the leather items were stiff as a board. I was convinced that I had ruined them. My son, who is an equestrian, suggested that I saturate them well with Ko-Cho-Line. He is a big fan of the product and uses it on his horse tack. I donned rubber gloves and smeared the Ko-Cho-Line liberally on each piece of leather. I was very busy at the time and ended up leaving the items in a box for five or six days before I got around to wiping them off with cloth cut from an old flannel sheet. The leather is all soft and pliable. Everything was slightly tacky at first but after air drying they are all soft and supple with no tackiness or greasy feel. All of the leather pieces look wonderful. Amazing product.

> 24 hourI’m am an old school, been in the horse world for all of my 52 years (yes, I was on a pony at a few months old), and I have seen trends come and go, products that are supposed miracles fade away, and owned more truly good horses than any one woman should have the right to claim. I recently came upon a forgotten hoard of tack..halters, bridles, reins, just stuff. I have enough “stuff” to campaign 4 horses on the A circuit for many seasons. But this box got lost..for like 20 years..in my humid, dark basement. IOW, not the ideal environment for leather. I cleaned them up and rubbed the “very expensive German L-balm” product into each piece. I tried “effex” too. Nothing worked. *Word of advice..if you ever undertake such an endeavor do not indulge in adult beverages at the same time, as the nostalgia combined with stink of mildew and leather can make you ugly cry for long gone horses, and then begin questioning why you didn’t sell some ex-boyfriends, and instead keep the horses. It’s all too philosophical, and that look is not good on anyone.* So after using the “L-balm” and some “effex” nothing happened..Yes, the leather had a slightly less offensive smell, but it could still use the petrified reins as table legs. That was a month ago. I had to recover emotionally before moving along to my next attempt (see above reference to adult beverages/nostalgia). I remembered this product from forever ago..and always loved Carr and Day and Martin..so I ordered some. It arrived on time, and I immediately got to work. That was 2 days ago. I’ve greased everything up only once, and wow..what a difference. The reins are so much more supple, the Whippy martingale bends without squeaking, even the halters feel more alive. I’m going to do another application, and I am confident that will be all I need. After that it’s just regular maintenance. My point, dear reader, is if you’ve got some gross tack that you think isn’t redeemable, try this stuff first. There is a reason it has been around forever..because it works.

> 24 hourMost reviews pertain to stable tack, I used it for the seat and studded saddle bags on my newly acquired 1999 Harley Davidson Softail Heritage Classic. Very simple and easy application but the finished product is beautiful, this product will be part of my bike maintenance

> 24 hourThis is the best product I have ever purchased to clean and nourish all my leather products, bridles and breast collars. My shelves are lined with creams and waxes that Ive purchased in the past to preserve my leather tack. Ive tried them all with only minimal success. Ko Cho Line works very well to not only clean but also bring back my older dried leathers. They are supple and rich looking again. This stuff really works! I noticed that some reviews stated that it darkened their leather but it has not done so to my tack or any other leather products. Ive even tried it on one of the couch cushions to see how it would do and it actually worked very well, so that will be my next project. Dont try to hurry the process. It seemed a little tacky to the touch after eight hours. I would give it the full 12 hours to cure, as the directions specify. Does the job well and definitely worth the money!
