Greater than one weekwhen someone sells a cable stating its 15 long, I am expecting to get a 15 long cable nothing less - these cables are 14 aprox. maybe a little shorter. As I was saying: we are not buying 2X4s here, so, stop shorting every cable and everyone.

> 3 dayWorks as advertised. Confirming both 40G, 10G and 1G speeds through cable both using a qualified patch panel and direct attach. Cable quality appears to be consistent with other cables claiming Cat 8. Cable is flexible enough considering the thickness. Rj45 housing is quality metallic shell, protective fatigue boot seems shorter than others but it sufficient considering its more rigid than standard cat 6 due to the diameter. The release on the protective boot is long enough to strike the cable release as it should and short enough to not interfere with the plugs operation even in RJ45 receptacles that are recessed into a chassis. Most routers and switches that I have ever deployed tend to tolerate and generate a lot of heat, these cables do not seem to carry that heat, unlike some other brands that I have noticed can be warm or even hot when removing. Overall I would recommend this cable for panel patching and the longer ones for any interconnects that are needed. I have tested these cables on the following brands of equipment; Cisco, Brocade, Intel, Broadcom, and Aruba. I was able to plug and play with links for 40G, 10G and 1G. I assume that 10/100 would also work, but I dont have any legacy connections that slow to test anymore. Product arrived in a sealed clear bag neatly curled with a single twist tie. Five Stars.

> 3 dayI bought these as patch cables for my small server rack. I have very short runs and needed CAT8 cables with high speed to make the connections between servers, NAS and my network switch. The cables are well made, have great solid connectors with clip protectors. The shielding and insulation are perfect for server cabinets, and they are tough as well. Naturally they are backwards compatible with CAT 5 through 7. The cables are tested FLUKE Network analyzers, certified CAT8, have a full lifetime warranty with free replacement, and 90 day refund policy. Pretty good value to me. After all of that, I feel really good about buying them. They are in place and doing their job everyday. They are the perfect length for my application, perform terrific, and give me piece of mind knowing my data is moving securely and at its fastest. Great value for the price. 5 big stars from me.

> 3 dayWhile CAT 6A certainly is more than adequate for home use I only needed a couple connections and opted for CAT8 since the price wasnt excessive and thought--WHY NOT :-) I would stay away from CAT7 as the connector ends might not be consistent among vendors and this category is NOT approved anyway by IEEE for networks. The rule of thumb is for most networks and the cabling to devices opt for CAT6A and use CAT8 FOR DATACENTER connections like connecting servers to switches in the same or nearby racks. CAT8 has a 30 meter distance as opposed to CAT6A which is the familiar 100meter. CAT8 is good for devices in the same room essentially. I actually got it as I like the shielding properties on this category cable especially when we are talking about homes that have all sorts of interference-causing devices and power cabling and such. I really wanted this for connecting between my cable provider gateway and my router primarily to ensure as interference-free connection as possible. CAT6A would work fine too and anyone with any IT experience knows full well 99.9999999% of people will never know the difference in terms of speed or bandwidths between CAT6A and CAT8. As I said, WHY NOT..... I would NOT purchase CAT8 cables for any more than a few devices as the costs wouldnt be justified and CAT6A is just fine too. The CAT8 cables are well made and you can tell from the connectors and the foil shielding these would last a long time and would hold up under most conditions.
