I got this because my cat would push her nearby scratch pad into her water bowl, and spill water all over the floor. We have other pet mats, but they are the soft silicone kind and I found they work best for keeping the food off the floor, but werent sturdy enough or with a high enough lip to keep the water from spilling. This is extremely sturdy (not flexible at all) and with rubberized grips on the bottom mean that the feeding and water station stays right where you put it, and even if the bowl is tipped, it is large enough and with a high enough lip to keep most of the water in place. Very easy to clean. I find it large enough for my cat, but it would likely be too small for anything but a small dog.

This is the best feeding tray that I have tried so far! Its easy to wipe down and holds any mess that spills on it.

I ordered an off white one but they sent pale blue. Doesn’t matter cause kitty likes to eat under a chair so you can’t see the mat. I love it! It’s similar to the old cafeteria trays in school. I like the higher edge. It’s easy to clean, stays where I sit it and the food never hits the floor. I highly recommend it. Also can be popped in the dishwasher if you think it’s necessary.

We use this for our wet food and water. It makes it very easy to change the water regularly because it’s so sturdy and it keeps the area where our cat eats very clean. I’m really glad I bought this. As you can see from the picture I bought all of the Cat Guru pieces as well.

I bought this piece of cat guru plastic to put underneath another piece of cat guru plastic to put under yet another piece of cat guru plastic. I bought the tray, bowl elevator, and bowl. All of them are way over priced. The bowl makes it 100x more difficult for your cat to lick up his food. The food falls all over it and it becomes difficult to clean. Since the bowl is a piece of crap, the food falls off into the food stand- yet another thing to clean. And yes you guessed it, the food also falls on to the tray- yet another thing to clean. Do yourself a favor and just buy a 99 cent store tray. Although if you do not buy cat guru food bowls, perhaps you wont even need a tray. Cat guru products make a mess so you need another product to contain the mess. Such a waste of money!
