my cat has long-standing digestive issues, and is also older now. id noticed she had started to eat in short bursts; brief nibbles and many passes instead of really staying at her bowl to eat properly. i am not certain if she has any arthritis or other specific conditions beyond age that might make her uncomfortable, but i wanted to give these elevated bowls a try just in case it would help her. after looking at many, i chose these because they were simple in design and less costly than others. they arrived fast and excellently packed. i was pleased by the good quality of the ceramic and the visual appeal. but the test was whether the cat would accept them, and if they might help her eat longer/more comfortably... she eyed them with grave suspicion when the freshly washed and filled bowls were set on her tray. she does not appreciate novelty. she seemed immune to their visual charms as well, and gave me a look that plainly suggested i had failed her yet again. subsequent looks implied that she had rather starve than go near something so obviously dangerous. i was prepared for this. i opened the packet of the favourite treat food (rabbit in gravy) and placed it on top of her posh special diet wet food, and backed away as if nothing was further from my mind than staring at her whilst she ate, or didnt eat... she ate the rabbit and left her other food, and ran off as though the hounds of hell were after her. in the morning, it looked like most of the food was gone. HA! i opened a fresh serving and smugly placed in her bowl. she rejected it. i left it for a while, and then the next time i passed through the kitchen i anointed the rejected food with special treat #2, a geriatric cat supplement sauce. this did the trick, she relented and ate the food, and stopped looking at the tray like a komodo dragon might leap forth at any moment. by day three, i noticed that she did seem to be spending longer at the dish instead of doing little micro-meals. there has been no more nonsense about invisible lizards or what-not. hallelujah! i wish id discovered these ages ago, when it first became apparent that she hated her whiskers touching a normal bowl, and i had to switch to plates for her food. now both food and water are in non-impinging bowls, and honestly she seems happier. and they really do look smart on the tray, instead of the old random dishes designated as cat feeding ware. 5 stars from our household!

Our cat is the messiest eater and the previous bowl set we used was tilted and all the food would slide onto the food mat. It was a mess to clean up and wasted food. We decided to try this ceramic raised set, and its been a game changer. We love how the food dish is shallower than the water dish which makes it a lot easier for our cat to eat. And everything stays clean--food remains in the bowl and off the food mat! These are sturdy bowls, clean up well and look really nice. We are so pleased with this bowl set that we bought two sets for different rooms.

I bought these cat dishes because I liked the way they look. However, Ive noticed my kitty vomits less since switching to these which is great. They are sturdy and a great size!

My cat is elderly and has arthritis. I have three of these now and it’s so much easier for him to eat. High quality.

Ive always used wide shallow dishes, but I didnt realize what a difference elevated feeding dishes would make. My cat no longer makes a mess with his food. He doesnt scatter kibble or wet food about anymore. I dont understand why exactly, but it just works better. I can also see that he likes eating out of them. One dish is quite shallow and the other a bit deeper. I use the deeper one for dry food and the shallow one for wet. (Water is elsewhere.) The dishes are very sturdy and heavy. Your cat isnt likely to accidentally knock them over, which makes them ideal for an elevated feeding table. I love the green - it happens to match the cat room.

The cats were a bit skeptical at first to use these different bowls. But they are less sloppy due to the large width, I guess. Less food on the floor to clean up. I think it is healthier, too. The cats look more comfortable eating. And the one who vomits occasionally has not done so since using these bowls. The bowls are very heavy. But I can overlook that since that makes them harder to accidentally tip over.

My female cat was vomiting, and the v veterinarian stated that we should purchase the anti vomiting bowls, they worked.
