Im not sure about durability yet (Ill update if it breaks) but its heavy and super easy to clean. It does have a ridge underneath from a heart so it wobbles a bit but I dont really mind it. I primarily use it for mixing gel polish and I once left some gel mixture in there for about 2 weeks, in the sun on and off, so it was crazy sticky and thick. A little alcohol cleaned it right up, no residue left and no damage. I mixed super pigmented gels, that stain my nails if I dont basecoat thoroughly, and it didnt stain. Really happy I got it. I can mix gels in one section and keep gems in other parts. The only thing is that it attracts dust and hair like crazy but its a minor thing. I clean it with a dry paper towel or cotton ball without a problem.

I really like these for watercolor. They allow me to custom mix colors and store them in the cup. I have also used these for oils and acrylics. These are a good value and a great addition to my tools.

Purchased after seeing a friends. I dont like mixing watercolors on the metal lid of my pallet. This porcelain dish is pure white, thick and I like the layout. Also, a surprise bonus, is the foam packaging it came in. It will allow me to take it along when I pack my WC supplies to leave my studio for an outing. Not the lightest dish but to me the benefits outweigh the weight.

Although these were wrapped really well, one of the two I bought arrived chipped

You know how when youve found just the right brush youre slightly in heaven for a while? Well, finding this palette was the same for me. Ive gotten tired of the various plastic palettes and have been looking for a suitable ceramic one for a while. I found several in art supply stores but they were all too big or too small, and heavy, and generally overpriced for what they offered. I wanted something with several wells for mixing different colors but that doesnt take up too much space on my work surface. This palette fits my needs perfectly. It came very well packed to avoid breakage during shipping, and without any significant imperfections that might effect paints or brush work. The wells are deep enough and also wide enough for most brushes. The palette is heavy enough to be very sturdy but not so heavy its a burden to lug up and down stairs for cleaning. I wont outgrow this palette any time soon. My only wish is that they make a smaller size for travel because I might take the chance on being able to carry it in my travel bag.

Before I bought this I was working with a basic ceramic dinner plate. Having bought many ceramic plates at the dollar store, I knew there was no way every single ceramic watercolor palette was $50+. Thankfully I was right! This palette works exactly as ceramic palettes are supposed to, with much less beading than you get working with plastic or metal palettes. I have practically no beading at all while using this palette and I didnt have to do anything fancy to prep it, I just used it straight out of the box. Speaking of box, it comes in Styrofoam that is perfectly fit to it, which I kept in case I ever need to transport this palette long-distance. This is the closest thing Ive found to a travel-sized ceramic palette too, because its relatively small for a ceramic palette, many of the expensive ones are very large and heavy. I would consider taking this with me to a park where I know Ill have a picnic table available to work at. The price cant be beat! I dont have to live in constant fear of accidentally breaking it because its not an exorbitantly priced piece of ceramic, I can and would easily replace it with another one if a tragic accident did occur. If youre just starting to get serious about watercolor and want better supplies without the heavy price tag, this is a perfect item for you. I would also recommend this item to any complete beginner (or someone buying a gift for a complete beginner!) who has a couple extra bucks to spend on one of the most helpful watercolor supplies out there. Do note that this is JUST a mixing palette, it does not come with any sort of lid, it isnt for storing paints long term! If this company did decide to make one with a lid, I would very much consider purchasing it because I love this one so much ;)

I purchased two of the rose palettes and loved them so much I purchased the square ones as well. - Excellent size and shape. Large enough to be practical, without occupying too much real estate. - Rose: 19 wells of varying size, perfect for mixing many different colors in various quantities. Square: 8 wells, 4 small and 4 large, perfect for larger pieces where I need a lot of one color. - Very easy to clean. No staining! - No corners or vertical edges. Walls have a gentle slope. Paint (I’m a watercolor artist) puddles beautifully instead of clinging/beading all over the place. - Walls are high enough to mix without worrying about splashing or contaminating adjacent wells. - Nice and heavy—it won’t slip or move around. Not ideal for painting en plein air, but I wouldn’t want to risk chipping them anyways.

Id been using plastic palettes for a while and saw a lot of white women on YouTube using these ceramic ones, and thought it looked neat since the watercolor paint doesnt stain. I bought this small one since they are on the expensive side, and O. M. GEE. Its awesome. The paint doesnt stain it at all. Its super easy to clean, and its heavy which means you cant accidentally knock it off a table and onto your poor Yorkshire Terrier... not that Ive done that or anything.

I really like the amount of space I have to mix colors. I love the fact that the paint does not bubble up and break apart at all which is the best thing of all! I just clean it out with some soap and water or I leave the paints in it and rewet when I want to use it again!
