> 24 hourI needed a quick interface and this not only had the male but female WHICH turned out I needed both by accident. The battery backup for my CPAP said 5.5mm and this was the ticket. HOWEVER, the input for the solar charger was slightly smaller than the 5.5, more like 5.4 - I suspect they wanted to use a proprietary plug to sell their panel. I cut off one of their charging interfaces that fit the input and spliced it to my female plug, which in turn was one of the male plugs to the bare wires from the panel. Had some Harbor Freight shrink wrap and tradaaaaaaaa. works great. put some paired spares taped the underside of the panel for future problems and off to the races. DELIGHTED.

> 24 hourI used the male plugs for the delivery of the DC power to my 16 camera security system. I replaced the multiple smaller transformers with the security camera system with a single power supply and needed to have the male plugs on my power cables. This was a very easy install requiring no soldering of wires or connections. I only wished I could have purchased just the male connectors as now I have 20 female connectors that I cannot use. Still a great purchase as I was able to completely rewire the power with a minimal amount of effort.

> 24 hourI used these (and their female counterparts) for connections between my 12 volt transformers and my balancing LiPo chargers that I use for 3S 11.7 Volt batteries. I was charging 2 batteries at the same time, putting about a 4.2 Amp continuous draw on the connectors for about 1-1/2 hours. I checked the connectors for heat-up, and found none. Some have commented that it is hard to get wires in. I loosened the screws a bit and stuck a scratch awl into the holes to push the metal shrouding open and the wires slipped right in. I like the fact that by design, the screws do not screw into the wires. They screw down onto the metal connector material, which in turn, presses down on the wire. That way, there is no damage to the wire from the rotating action of the screw. It would also be advisable to tin the wire ends to make them easier to insert, but I did not do that with the 14 Ga. wire that I used. It was a tight fit. The product description says 16-26 AWG, but I did get it to work with 14 AWG. These connectors are also considerably large and heavy. So you may want to use a different option if you need to use them in a tight space.

> 24 hourThese are well made connectors that I bought for replacing the power supply connectors used for my LED experiments. I deducted a star because not all the barrels have the same amount of hold (friction/tightness). They vary on some connectors.
