I love these needles! They have a pointed tip that is so importent with some yarns & makes YO & SSKs so much easier. I highly recommend these needles! They also do not grab your yarn where the needle meets the cable. It is a very smooth transition.

I bought these for working magic loop with fingering weight yarn. I LOVE the red cable portion. It doesnt curl and bounce, even with lightweight yarn, eliminating what I call octopus wrestling that happens with other cables. Im not a fan of the metal needles themselves, though. They have a surface that is deceptively smooth to the touch, but they dont glide against one another smoothly. If you are part of the 1/3 of the population that gets a heebie-jeebies feeling from rubbing the unglazed ring at the bottom of a dinner plate... thats the same feeling youll get when your needles rub together during knitting. But the cable... ahhh, that beautiful cable is so peaceful to work with.

I have always loved chiagoo needles. never broke one in years until i bent the tip of one when it got caught by the door. So I needed new ones of of course spares never hurt a hardcore knitter lol. The needles are DIFFERENT. the cable is thicker and has more grab which was splitting my yarn. and the needle base doesnt have the bend at the cable. but WASHING THE CABLE IN DAWN HELPED IMMENSELY. still, its gonna take a bit to get used to the extra weight and less flexibility than the super thin originals.
