Clinique for Men Cream Shave 4.2 Ounce

> 3 dayIt comes out as a cream and not foam. I use about a 50 cent coin amount of it and it does the job well and skin remains moist and smooth. That is especially helpful when one shaves and shower at the same time.

> 3 dayThis is great shaving cream and particularly good for travel. You use very little at a time so it lasts much longer than a similarly sized foam or gel. One star knocked off because the same item is available on the Clinique website for the same price but with no $4.00 delivery charge (as of December 2014). Pricey at $16, super-pricey at $20.

> 3 dayVery gritty compound. Feels like a good facial scrub, only downside is a smallish tube, maybe last one month…? But I really like this.

> 3 dayI have been an Amazon shopper for a long time and have been asked often to review many products. I like almost everything I order from the company, but have been loath to write a review for no better reason than I just dont want to take the time. The Cream Shave is my one exception. I will travel to the ends of the earth (that is, if its flat) to procure Clinique Shave Cream. It is by far the best shave cream, including gels, foams, etc., that Ive ever used. On rare occasion, I run out and have to resort to what other makers claim is the best shaving product around. I beg to differ. I have never had a more consistently close and smooth shave than with the Cream Shave. You dont need a lot, as I have read in another review. A fairly thin layer is all thats required and it never dries on your face. What I do to begin is to shave above my upper lip (the mustache area) and chin, as they grow the most stubble and are the most sensitive areas. Then I put on a second layer in the shaved area and shave it again along with the rest of my face. That way, I get the closest shave imaginable with no nicks. And, btw, the applied Cream Shave stays moist all along. I cannot recommend this product strongly enough. One of my lifelong quests, which Im sure I share with many men, has (had) been to get the perfect shave. I even tried electric razors much to my sensitive skins displeasure. At long last about 15 years ago, I discovered Clinique Cream Shave and its been smooth sailing (I mean, shaving) ever since. My only regret is that I now take a smooth, close shave for granted.

> 3 dayI have been an avid user of the product for over a decade and, frankly, there is none better in the marketplace. The Cream Shave stays moist and doesnt dry up on my face like so many other gels, foams, etc. I get a smooth shave every time with no cuts. Moreover, I use a minimal amount of product to cover my face. Its that effective.

> 3 dayI have been addicted to Clinique Cream Shave since I found it back in NYC, maybe 25 years ago. If you try it for a week or so to get used to it, you will realize what junk the pressurized foam stuff is - Edge gel or Gillette Foam - whatever. All that matters is the layer that is touching your skin. So why apply some air filled whipped cream? The Clinique is a better tool for the job - it helps the blade slide rather than rip. It is both expensive and a pain to find sometimes - so I will try other stuff. (Billy Jealousy is good. So is Jack Black - but they are both MORE expensive than Clinique). But I always go back to this. The trick is just get your face wet, then spread a thin layer (a schmear if youre from NYC). It really doesnt take much. The razor glides, doesnt bump and pull and the cream has an antiseptic feel and smell when you are finished that makes your face feel like it hasnt been hacked to pieces. A tube lasts a long time. I will go out to whatever department store has it in stock - you have to go into the cosmetics section - and buy 6 tubes at a time. I will also cut the tube apart when it gets down to the dregs because I am cheap and you can get another week out of it. I have tried and been unimpressed with the Clinique post shave stuff. The aloe stuff isnt bad - but it really isnt much different from any hand/face cream. I use Lubriderm because 1) it is on the sink anyway since my wife uses it, 2) it has sunblock in it and 3) it doesnt cost a whole lot. There. Now I am a metrosexual. Or at least I play one on Amazon.

> 3 dayThis shave cream is the “creamy” kind and the not “puffed up with air” kind, which means a little goes a long, long way. That’s good because it is very expensive. Be careful when ordering. What looks like a bargain can be for a tiny 2oz size rather than the more common 4oz size found at the Clinique counter in stores (back when stores were open.) But if you hit the lottery, this stuff is definitely worth it. Most Clinique products are hypo-allergenic and fragrance-free and many people find that well worth it, too. Use just a dab and you can make that 4oz tube go a long way. You probably won’t regret it.
