I decided to try this type of hook, as I heard the handle made it comfortable to use, especially for prolonged crochet sessions. I have found this to be true. A size B hook is on the small size and with a regular size B hook the narrow shaft can lead to cramping of the hand after crocheting a while. Problem solved with this comfortable handle, giving a large shaft size and more comfortable soft consistency. Since buying this I have traveled to Japan and while there purchase a set of smaller hooks of this type from Clover, a Japanese company. I would recommend these Clover crochet hooks to anyone who loves crocheting but finds the usual hooks to be uncomfortable.

This was my first Amour hook and I must say it is very good! I am an avid knitter and crocheter with a bad carpal tunnel syndrome situation and I must say that I found this hook easy to use and did not notice it to exacerbate my wrist pain.
