These hooks are a MUST for every serious crocheter. The crochet hooks are a joy to hold and light - the point is quite pointy which I love. You can crochet for hours with minimal fatigue due to the shape of the hook. The colours are amazing - but the texture of the hook is just a pleasure. I will be ordering 3 more sets for my crochet class The Happy Hookers here in our little town of Barberton in South Africa.

If youre like me, you may be wondering if this set of crochet hooks is worth paying more money than other similar sets. It is! I decided to try them because I enjoy Clover brand products (my favorite knitting needles come from them). When I received them, I was halfway through an amigurumi project. I switched to the new hook (of the same size as the one I had been using) and was immediately impressed. These hooks slide on the yarn easily, making the stitches tighter and better, yet the yarn doesnt slide so easily that it falls off. There is a distinct difference in the part of the project I did with my old hooks and then what I did with these--and the difference is for the better. The hooks themselves feel nice in my hands, which is important for me since I struggle with arthritis. All in all, if I ever need to expand my collection of hooks or replace any, I will come back to these!

After trying 15 sets of hooks (borrowed from a wonderful friend), I bought this set of Clover Amour hooks. I love them so much that I recommend them on my website and to everyone who asks.

These are simply crochet heaven. I can crochet faster, more evenly, accurately and best of all with a light and easy grip. NO PAIN! I am a hard core Susan Bates hook user - and I am very fond of the bamboo handled ones. But no longer. These are named perfectly - amour - because this is a love affair with a hook Ive never had before! The soft rubber is so soft and grippy and the thickness keeps my hand from straining - my hand and fingers are so relaxed. I had eyed the hook itself with suspicion as it wasnt a perfect Susan bates. Its BETTER!! It almost never splits the yarn, it glides and grabs perfectly. What I love is that the metal handle goes all the way down - its a beautiful designed and made hook. I cant say enough how much I LOVE these!!

Theres a reason so many of the crochet blogs recommend these hooks. They really are that good.

Ive never used hooks that help you control the size of you stitch depth. It makes your stitch more uniform in looks. The length of the aluminum post is a great guide in making your stitches all the same size. The rubber handle helps control your grip on the needle. The Clover needles feel good in your hands. The very first time I worked with these needles I couldnt believe how much better they are to hold onto.
