Clover Amour Crochet Hook: 4.0mm, 4.00mm, Multicoloured

I chose this simply on the basis of the reviews. I really did think a crochet hook is a crochet hook is a crochet hook. Not at all. My previous one was a bit scratchy and kept splitting my yarn. This one is smooth and glides through your stitches effortlessly. Lovely to hold too. I know want to replace all my hooks with this brand!

My go to hooks for any size project. Feels very comfortable in my hand and I ALWAYS try to find a clover hook before I will use any of my other types of crochet hooks. Im always misplacing them (my fault) and ordering more! 5 stars!!!

Adding a crochet edging to a 54 square tablecloth so wanted to get an ergonomic hook to replace the 40 year old steel crochet hook Im using. Somewhere the sizes have changed. The #20 ball of crochet thread says to use a #10 hook, 1mm. This new hook is a #10 but its only .75mm so its 25% smaller than the old version. The head is so small as to be unusable for this size thread. It would be fine for a #30 or higher thread like for handkerchief edgings. The comfort handle is nice but I returned it as I couldnt use it for my project. Photos show they are both #10s but 2nd photo shows the size difference in the head.

Bought this for my mother who loves to crochet. It’s very comfortable for her to hold and the metal (not plastic) hook is great.
