I highly recommend these knitting needles for bulky projects.They are light weight and comfortable. My only concern would be that beginners might find it easier to learn on a smaller size. Yet this size knits up fast. The clover wooden needles hold the stitches well and would be a good starting needle

I used these for knitting a throw and the whole time the plastic would not relax so I was fighting the curling of it.

I love this brand, and have a lot of sizes. I also have an interchangeable kit. This is so superior to that option. With the needles where you screw in the cables, I find that I fight with the needles too much, and takes a lot of the enjoyment out of knitting. This brand has always provided well made, smooth needles, and the yarn travels flawlessly. If there are less expensive options, I would not consider them. For the small difference in price, it is just not worth all the trouble. Thank you for a great product!
