The cutter is very sharp and holds its edge after several hours on my CNC machine cutting hard wood.

The bit did very well. It arrived well packaged and very sharp. It is also well balanced when utilized on a makita router that is on my cnc. If had one complaint and its petty....the shaft is only 1.37 inches...which made me adjust my dust collection....not worthy of removing a star.

Used it today to resurface my cnc waste board. it did a very nice job and I am quite pleased. I new my mdf waste board needed to leveled and this bit was the ticket. It will also be used for making sure stock used in projects that I do detailed v-carving on as it is imperative that the surface is uniform to get quality results. It came well packaged in bubble wrap and also in a plastic container which will serve for storage. Not able to give it a rating just yet on longevity but it is carbide and there is plenty of meat if it needs to be resharpened. I would not hesitate in recommending this to my friends who are also CNCers.

The steel is poor quality and while it was routing out a handrail, it literally melted.

This bit came exactly as described and was very sharp. It is a great value and performed very well when I tested it. It cut very clean and smooth and fit my router perfectly! I intend to buy a backup one of these!

This is SO much easier than just trying to go back and forth with a straight bit a million times and then sanding the bottom. It arrives nice and sharp, and makes quick work of flattening after hogging out most of the material with the carving bits. Havent used it for much yet, but was pleasantly surprised when I did!

At about half the cost of other surfacing bits, Id say this is a great option for the casual user or for the budget minded who are just getting into woodworking or home CNC. I dont have a CNC setup, so I put it in my trim router to cut a rabbit. It runs true and leaves a smooth surface, but there was a little bit of burning on the edge. I suspect that was more to do with me using a trim router instead of a real one, removing that much material requires more power (thats my fault, not the bits). I did notice that the coating on the bit was already starting to peel off after cutting only about 10 of wood, so I dont expect it to hold up like a name brand cutter, but for what it is, its a respectable little bit. Lets be real for a second here, if you own a shop and need CNC bits to run in your machinery all day every day, youre not shopping on amazon for 1/4 shank bits that are made in China. If youre just a hobbyist like me whos working with very real budget constraints, this is a good buy.

We used this on a spoilboard with a DeWalt 660 and it worked great. Nice and flat.
