Coding for Kids: Learn to Code Javascript - Video Game Design Coding Software - Computer Programming for Kids, Ages 11-18, (PC, Mac, Chromebook Compatible)

I bought this for my grandchildren who are 7 and 10. The 10 year old said it is very easy to use and she is having fun with it. They have been dabbling with an online coding program but this is the first try with JavaScript . It is a little too much for the 7 year old but Im sure it will help him out later as he loves video games!

I got this for my 10 year old daughter, who loved all things science. To say she loves it is an understatement. I think describing it as her new addiction would be more accurate. She admitted that some of the instructions can be a bit confusing since she has never been exposed to computer coding prior to this, but she is eager to learn more and is having a lot of fun in the process. I definitely recommend this and am considering purchasing another as a gift for my nephew.

I picked this software up for my 18 year old daughter. Shes a freshman in a college graphic art degree. She loves learning code. She told me this program was confusing to her, but added that she already knew how to write HTML which is part of the Javascript in this program. So trying to run through it already knowing how to do it was confusing to her. So I signed in and gave it a whirl. I was confused at first until I understood how the program works. Its a little dated in its layout - for instance once you finish a lesson you have to scroll all the way back up to the top to click on the next lesson. It would be nice to have a smoother interface - but Im here to review the content. And the couple of lessons I did were very clear and easy to follow. For me - Im not sure a younger child would follow as easily but then again, if theyre into this stuff, theyll figure it out. In addition to the written lesson theres a video overview to help you our on each lesson as well.

My 10 yr old son enjoyed Lesson 1 so far. It seems to be an easy course and interesting challenges!

This is a very bad product. Dont waste your money. It is not kid friendly and I am sure a lot of adults may not be able to follow it.

This is a scam! All of the 4 and 5 star reviews are from people who were given the product for free. BUYER BEWARE!!

There was some good learning with this game. I thought it was pretty cool it came with a thumb drive for saving files. I rated it a three star because my son wasnt too impressed with it. He reads really well, but he is 8 1/2 years old. I think he may need a little more tech experience. I took a chance because I wanted him to learn while using a screen. I dont like time-wasting screens. I dont know for how long the code is active, but I would like him to try again in a few months.

I purchased this for my 10 year old nephew. After assisting him with the initial set-up, he has manage to navigate the program on his own. It is very engaging and easy to follow along for a beginner as he has no other experience with coding. It does require internet for use, so this is definitely better as a home project or for use in areas with wifi access. He has easily navigated the program lessons, but there is also live chat assistance when needed. All-in-all a good buy with hours of educational entertainment available.

This was horrible! Once i got to the website it tried to get me pay monthly. I was not expecting that. I am not sure what i actually paid for cuz i could not get into anything

This product is great for kids as well as for adults! If you dont know anything about programming, this is a great start. If you know other programming language, this is still a great buy! My 9 year old watched my husband play around with the gaming software, and then he created games of his own with confidence. Younger kids who are comfortable with computers (so all kids these days, right?) will be fine with these instructions with a little guidance at first. Great product!
