The feel of this scoop is strong. It is not made of thin metal. I really like the feel of it and it shows it is high quality. A very good scoop for the money. I liked it so well, I bought a second one for my other kitchen.

Its a little heavier than I expected but it feels good in my hand. Im sure my husband will like it better than the lightweight plastic scoop we were using!

Well, I am happy to say I ordered a measuring spoon and this is, in fact, a measuring spoon! Actually, it is a very heavy/sturdy measuring spoon. I bought it so my wonderful husband can measure coffee accurately every morning, and it works beautifully. And yes, he did comment that the spoon is very heavy.
