What can one say about a mantle? either they work or do not. these work if you care for them properly. tie them on, light them and let them burn down and then they are ready for use. For those who have never used a mantle lantern, be careful with them: they are fragile after use... if you touch them or bump them too hard (like maybe drop the lantern), the mantle may break and have to be replaced. I found these to be well made and they survived a 2500 mile trip in the back truck, a week of camping and finally bit the ghost when I returned home and the lantern fell from the shelf (7). the mantles were toast so .. I simply replaced them with the extras I had received.

I wouldnt order any other ones. These work great, cheap and easy to put on. I would order these again when I need more.

The trick is to tie a knot on the string before slipping them on the fitting. Tighten up. Then add a second knot. And or a third. Rotate parallel to the gas generator so the mantle helps heat the gas.

Arrived quickly. Have not fitted to my lantern yet as the mantles currently employed were already new. Came as advertised, brand new bag containing 4 new mantles. A must for any lantern owners.

Are what was intended.

A cheap four pack of mantles. You should always have extra mantles when your camping. Inevitably a lantern mantle dies in transport to or from the campsite. Always keep a spare, or four.
