> 24 hourThe lamp feels like frosted glass and looks nice turned on or off. Nice even glow. Decent cable. I downloaded the app, but after an hour finally gave up trying to connect it. I have several other connected devices around the house, so I’m not new to the technology. I’m sure I would have really liked this if it’d connect. It shouldn’t be that difficult.

> 24 hourLooking for a soft glow colorful lamp? We use this lamp in our bedroom to provide a nice soft lightning in the evening. I particularly enjoy the ability to change the colors of the lamp with my phone or a voice assistant command. Additionally, the lamp has a high quality feel and look to it. Recommended Pros: - Colors: The colors produced by the lamp are exceptional. The color diffuses beautifully across the globe. - Control: The lamp can be controlled by Alexa if desired. - On/Off: There is even a physical on/off switch if you want to control the lamp manually. FYI: - Brightness: This is not a reading lamp. It doesnt provide enough light to read a book.

> 24 hourColorpanda Smart Table Lamp This is a really lovely little lamp and I like it a lot. Its perfectly round with its own little built in legs to stand on, so we call it The Orb. It connects quickly and easily to the SmartLife app (which is good! I dont have to download a whole other proprietary app to pair the lamp!) and from there connects seamlessly to the home Alexa network. You can set custom colors, brightness, and speeds to change from one color to another. Prefer a static, non-changing light? Thats fine, just set the change speed to zero. We love our little orb and anticipate using it quite a lot. NOTE: This review is based on a free advance review product provided through Amazon Vine. ~ Ana Mardoll

> 24 hourThis is a very cool gift for a child or teen’s bedroom. This unusual panda lamp adds atmosphere and color as a nightstand light or fun desk lamp. I don’t think much studying will be done, and your kiddo will certainly like playing with the remote when they’re supposed to be sleeping.

> 24 hourIve put in as much effort as I feel like putting in on getting this thing to connect. The directions are so-so, and as far as I can tell, Im stuck at reconfiguring my WiFi to 2.4 Ghz. There are directions to do that, but do I really want to? IDK. Will it be worth it? and what are the repercussions of switching it? And how hard is it to switch it back to 5G after that? Do I have to switch it to 2.4 G every time I want to use this light? The answers to all the questions are not obvious (to me at least), and Id have to spend a lot of time figuring them out. And Im still not sure if it would work. So at this point, all Ive gotten from this light is annoyed. I may revisit this problem later, but Ive already revisited it several times (I do get a little further each time...) In the interest of full disclosure, Im 53 years old. Maybe Im too old for this sort of nonsense. But honestly, I dont think Im so old that I shouldnt be able to figure this out or need to ask a Millennial for help. If I ever figure it out, Ill update this. And if I need to ask a Millennial, Ill include that in the revision. (And obviously, if a Millennial cant do it and needs to consult a Gen Z, its a lost cause altogether.)

> 24 hourTheres nothing about this little lamp I dont like. It plugs in via USB and is everything as advertised. Rest assured in an accurate item description here and all the reviews are spot on. Awesome product, high quality and absolutely beautiful!

> 24 hourThe light is nice enough but the app is a nightmare. It can still be used by touching the little button on the base but that isn’t practical since the place I want to put the lamp isn’t easily reached. You need the app to have a remote and I have given myself a headache trying to get it to pair with the lamp. I will try again later and reassess if I get it to work.

> 24 hourI used to have a small blue-illuminated orb while I lived in London. I loved it, but could not use it in the US due to voltage and bulb reasons. I always missed that orb, even though it only glowed blue. I was instantly intrigued when I saw this item. Variable brightness. Huge range of colors. Separate color zones for the top and bottom halves. Programmable through an app. WOW! What more could I want? When I unpacked the box, I was first taken by the manufactured quality of this orb. It was much better-made than my blue London orb. It really is an object of beauty, even before it is plugged in. The problems began when I downloaded the Colorpanda app. The app, and the printed instructions for the orb, are some of the worst I have seen. The printed manual is laughable. It basically tells you to download the app, which I did. This brought me into the world of a very badly-designed app. Many of the screens are unreadable. Picture dark grey type against a black background with type so small I could not read it. Other screens had light grey type against a white screen, again too small to read. Sections of the app are advertisements for the sellers other lighting products. What I could read indicated complex steps for programming the various lighting abilities the orb is capable of. All I wanted at the start was to turn on the light and create a steady blue glow. In reality, if you simply plug in the light into a USB outlet, the orb will glow and sort of pulsate in a yellow-orange range. I found no way to change anything about this lighting scheme. I could not get the lamp to connect to the app, largely because I could not find legible directions for how to do this. Other reviewers have described similar circumstances, but one or two mentioned abandoning the Colorpanda app and trying again with the Smart Life app. Bingo! Success! The Smart Life app works quite well and can be used to accomplish anything that would have been possible with the Colorpanda app. You need to pair the orb with the app. I recommend starting with the app, and then plugging in the orb. Smart Life will guide you to pair the app and the orb. Then, your fun will begin. The orb itself seems to be very well made. The light sources within it cannot be replaced by the user, so we are instructed that when the lights no longer work, we need to replace the entire unit. I was able to quickly set a steady blue glow similar to the one I missed from London. But this orb can do much more. There are two lighting zones, one for the top half and one for the bottom half. You can set them to the same color, or multiple colors. You can create color transitions that change over time. You can set timers for turning the orb on or off on a schedule of your choice. The quality of light coming from this white ball is very rich and beautiful. If you give this as a gift, you need also to provide detailed instructions for setting up the ball. If you give it to someone who is not tech-savvy, you may need to help that person get it working. I am fairly tech-savvy, but I almost gave up on getting this working. The seller needs to provide a much better written instruction manual, and the manufacturer needs to make the app MUCH MORE user-friendly. Now that I have it working, I am very pleased with the product and delighted to have it.
