> 24 hourThis little light is really amazing! I have NOTHING negative to say. It arrived tucked neatly into a small box and wrapped in protective plastic. The unit itself is one piece. The globe is a frosted glass so I would recommend putting this up where little hands cannot reach it. Once you get this out of the box, download the app on your smart device and be prepared for some beautiful colors and color blends. There are multiple choices preset but you can choose your own color combinations. You can control the brightness and the color temp. This unit is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant. I cannot express how soothing this little light is. I love the dark blue and keep that as the light theme in my bedroom, this adds a different little flare. It was quite simple to get the app connected to the unit. It basically does it by itself IF you do not plug it in until you have the app downloaded and the app is in pairing mode. Then, plug the unit in and the app will find it. I spent the first 30 minutes or so going through all the colors and combinations. Find the one you like and enjoy!! This would make a great gift for ANYONE who likes LED or mood lighting!

> 24 hourIve put in as much effort as I feel like putting in on getting this thing to connect. The directions are so-so, and as far as I can tell, Im stuck at reconfiguring my WiFi to 2.4 Ghz. There are directions to do that, but do I really want to? IDK. Will it be worth it? and what are the repercussions of switching it? And how hard is it to switch it back to 5G after that? Do I have to switch it to 2.4 G every time I want to use this light? The answers to all the questions are not obvious (to me at least), and Id have to spend a lot of time figuring them out. And Im still not sure if it would work. So at this point, all Ive gotten from this light is annoyed. I may revisit this problem later, but Ive already revisited it several times (I do get a little further each time...) In the interest of full disclosure, Im 53 years old. Maybe Im too old for this sort of nonsense. But honestly, I dont think Im so old that I shouldnt be able to figure this out or need to ask a Millennial for help. If I ever figure it out, Ill update this. And if I need to ask a Millennial, Ill include that in the revision. (And obviously, if a Millennial cant do it and needs to consult a Gen Z, its a lost cause altogether.)

> 24 hourI do love this moon lamp thingy. It’s always on the sunset colors because the app and adding this as a device to the app isn’t as easy as they claim. I ordered this via Vine in exchange for an honest review and I will say it’s absolutely gorgeous set at the sunset colors, however after reading what this was capable of doing for me I think it just fell short of most of those claims. I sure do wish I was wrong and if I can rectify this, I will absolutely update my review. This isn’t for kids and it isn’t cut and dry- easy peasy. It’s more for the tech-savvy person who has everything hooked up to their Alexa.

> 24 hourColors look great, the variety of gradients is awesome, and it gets pretty bright. The only major complaint is that while it does connect to Google Home, it often disconnects and the only way to control it is by using the single button on the front which is easy to accidentally hit since it is a touch sensitive pad rather than a physical button. This may be because of my college wifi network though, some other smart home devices have trouble with enterprise networks. Overall it is solid and gets the job done while looking nice and providing nice ambiance.

> 24 hourI used to have a small blue-illuminated orb while I lived in London. I loved it, but could not use it in the US due to voltage and bulb reasons. I always missed that orb, even though it only glowed blue. I was instantly intrigued when I saw this item. Variable brightness. Huge range of colors. Separate color zones for the top and bottom halves. Programmable through an app. WOW! What more could I want? When I unpacked the box, I was first taken by the manufactured quality of this orb. It was much better-made than my blue London orb. It really is an object of beauty, even before it is plugged in. The problems began when I downloaded the Colorpanda app. The app, and the printed instructions for the orb, are some of the worst I have seen. The printed manual is laughable. It basically tells you to download the app, which I did. This brought me into the world of a very badly-designed app. Many of the screens are unreadable. Picture dark grey type against a black background with type so small I could not read it. Other screens had light grey type against a white screen, again too small to read. Sections of the app are advertisements for the sellers other lighting products. What I could read indicated complex steps for programming the various lighting abilities the orb is capable of. All I wanted at the start was to turn on the light and create a steady blue glow. In reality, if you simply plug in the light into a USB outlet, the orb will glow and sort of pulsate in a yellow-orange range. I found no way to change anything about this lighting scheme. I could not get the lamp to connect to the app, largely because I could not find legible directions for how to do this. Other reviewers have described similar circumstances, but one or two mentioned abandoning the Colorpanda app and trying again with the Smart Life app. Bingo! Success! The Smart Life app works quite well and can be used to accomplish anything that would have been possible with the Colorpanda app. You need to pair the orb with the app. I recommend starting with the app, and then plugging in the orb. Smart Life will guide you to pair the app and the orb. Then, your fun will begin. The orb itself seems to be very well made. The light sources within it cannot be replaced by the user, so we are instructed that when the lights no longer work, we need to replace the entire unit. I was able to quickly set a steady blue glow similar to the one I missed from London. But this orb can do much more. There are two lighting zones, one for the top half and one for the bottom half. You can set them to the same color, or multiple colors. You can create color transitions that change over time. You can set timers for turning the orb on or off on a schedule of your choice. The quality of light coming from this white ball is very rich and beautiful. If you give this as a gift, you need also to provide detailed instructions for setting up the ball. If you give it to someone who is not tech-savvy, you may need to help that person get it working. I am fairly tech-savvy, but I almost gave up on getting this working. The seller needs to provide a much better written instruction manual, and the manufacturer needs to make the app MUCH MORE user-friendly. Now that I have it working, I am very pleased with the product and delighted to have it.

> 24 hourI was hoping for something that would simulate like the morning sun awake up, but I found out it isnt really designed for that. The color selections are nice and they really can make a room mood cozy. It just didnt seem like it fulfilled all their claims.

> 24 hourIt took me several tries and a lot of wasted time to get this lamp to connect to the app. The instructions were laughably insufficient, and I would never give this as a gift to anyone who wasnt already familiar with these kinds of things. I *really* do not love having an additional 200MB of potentially questionable software on my phone just to run a lamp. I have been trying to get it to connect to the Smart Home app that I already have for my other wifi light switches, but havent been able to get it to work. That would be a decent workaround if it were possible. That being said, the app allows for surprisingly advanced programming of different color changing scenarios, and its fun to play with! I havent come close to exploring all the possibilities yet. The lamp is made of a matte frosted plastic. Sometimes the light shining through shows cloudy swirls in the frosted material, which is a little distracting but not too bad. Otherwise it is beautifully minimal, sturdy, and well made. Its about the size of a very large grapefruit/ pomelo. Its a fun, pretty toy, but the connectivity issues make it not so ideal for gifting. Update: The more I use this the more it works its way into my heart!! I love it. The seamless, smooth transition between all the colors of the rainbow is so soothing and lovely. I have it next to my computer while I work and the light doesnt bother my eyes at all. The app really does provide so many options for customized color transitions that would never be possible with a remote. I really should experiment with it more. But to be honest, a lot of the time Im lazy and just use the button on the base to turn it on and off, and avoid using the app. Im really pleased thats an option, too!

> 24 hourColorpanda Smart Table Lamp This is a really lovely little lamp and I like it a lot. Its perfectly round with its own little built in legs to stand on, so we call it The Orb. It connects quickly and easily to the SmartLife app (which is good! I dont have to download a whole other proprietary app to pair the lamp!) and from there connects seamlessly to the home Alexa network. You can set custom colors, brightness, and speeds to change from one color to another. Prefer a static, non-changing light? Thats fine, just set the change speed to zero. We love our little orb and anticipate using it quite a lot. NOTE: This review is based on a free advance review product provided through Amazon Vine. ~ Ana Mardoll
