if you have a big boy (like mine, 7.5 month old, 23 pounds, 28+ inches), he cannot sit much, he cannot crawl, he is best in one piece when you take him out, and this coat is exactly what you need. I actually bought this coat when my son was 4 month, and has been wearing it since. very comfy, warm, and the best part is its ease to put on. You know what it is like when you are in a rush, need to go somewhere, and just put this onto your boy, boom, ready to go.

Love these for my little guy in the winter, he can wear it in his car seat, it keeps him nice and toasty for jaunts in and out of the car :)

Love the color and design. Very cozy. We used it almost daily in our layering system. Wool, fleece, down.

Purchased the 3-6 month size, and its very big. Fits more towards the 6 month size. Would recommend getting the smaller size when they are still little. This has tons of extra fabric, but still fits in the carseat ok. Fabric is felt-like. Feels very warm, so should keep him nice and warm.

I purchased the 6-12 month size for a 5.5 month old. A bit big, but will last the winter and spring which is what we wanted. Looks Great! Feels very warm!!!

We bought this as a Christmas gift for our son. At the time he was still in newborn and we bought 0-3. It was predictably big, even for a size 0-3 it was unusually big but it was usable. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise though as it lasted us the whole winter. He is now wearing size 6-12 months and only JUST starting to get too tall for this suit. Over all aside from being a big make it was wonderful. Nice and warm plus car seat safe!
