The thing is supposed to protect you from the heat and the black gets way hotter than my comparable white hoodless pfg. nothing on them for offering but something to consider it definitely gets hot. I LOVE the hood its super light and comfortable.

08-06-2025This is my primary shirt when I am going kyaking or know I will be in the sun all day. Light breathable material is very cool, comfortable and has held up well. They make this with and without the hood but if you are in extreme sun or on the water for long stretches of time I would highly recommend the hood

> 3 dayI plan on getting a bunch of these. As Ive gotten older, sunburns hit me harder. These are cool, light, and work @ keeping the sun off while not being annoying or blinding. Some of these shirts, the hood will fall in my eyes or over my sunglasses.
