Read power on the left needle, reflected power on the right. The swr reads where the needles cross.

This is a nice meter and makes adjusting antennas easy. Has a nice lighted dial and is overall easy to use. Only thing I was doubtful about was when I received it the needles were not zeroed out and I had to use a fine screwdriver to adjust the needles. Aside from that it seems to be relatively accurate.
