> 24 hourThe pl259 is supposed to be the type you can take apart for easy routing. My pl259 came apart in one place, at the ferrule. Nothing else would unscrew or come apart. Had to cut it because its cheap junk metal that distorts when you breathe on it. Wish it actually did come apart for easy routing. Guess Im ordering connectors and not using my transceiver until the parts come in now.

> 24 hourVery versatile mount. Comet mounts are always too notch.

> 24 hourThe hole in the lip mount was too small for the included NMO antenna base to fit into. It required drilling the hole out larger, which was quite difficult.

> 24 hourI will admit putting it on and getting the antenna to stand up correctly took some time but it was well worth it. This mount stayed on and never needed adjustment. I used it 3 years until I sold the car. When I took it off there were no tell tale marks where it had been. I reinstalled it on my new truck with out any trouble. I have a 2m/70 cm antenna on it.

> 24 hourPerfect use for my low band and VHF antennas to still be able to fit into my garage. Works awesome that they mounted right to the side mounts of a BackRack

> 24 hourThe best product I’ve ever bought. The smaller feed line section closest the antenna was a brilliant idea. The mount itself is well made and heavy duty. I put my SSB2 NMO antenna from Comet and I was full quieting into our Club repeater. I got tired of my roof mounted with drilled hole getting knocked of and finally making me have a body shop fill in the hole and repaint roof. The only challenge is getting an Allen wrench to tighten the small set screws. Highly recommended product. N9NY Fast forward three weeks. I broke the tightening wing nut that locks the antenna angle into place. Ugh! E-mailed HamCity who sold the antenna mount asking what can be done. HamCity contacted Comet on my behalf and four days later I had the replacement part at no charge. That’s great customer service! Thank you!

> 24 hourI remove the antenna and cover the mount with an NMO rain cap when I go through the car wash. I also switch between a 1/4 wavelength and 1/2 wavelength antenna, depending on terrain. About 40 antenna length for the 1/2 wave. I grounded the mount to the hood, and I achieve about 1.2 SWR at 145.460 MHz with the 1/4 wave antenna. I am very pleased with the mounts performance.

> 24 hourI tried to use this as a rear door mount on a 2019 Toyota Tacoma. It is heavy, but the device seems to secure to the top of the door very well. BUT the problem is that it sticks out and catches all kinds of wind noise going at highway speeds. I tried turning the top of the unit around, but the knob to tighten the antenna is so big it pushes against the roof. Im hanging on to it in hopes of convincing my wife to let me attach it to the trunk of her car, but as a door mount, I just cant recommend it.
