> 24 hourThis is my third unit. I have used them since my 2006 Prius and the latest is going on my 2020 Tesla. Makes mounting and running the cable as easy as possible.

> 24 hourThe pl259 is supposed to be the type you can take apart for easy routing. My pl259 came apart in one place, at the ferrule. Nothing else would unscrew or come apart. Had to cut it because its cheap junk metal that distorts when you breathe on it. Wish it actually did come apart for easy routing. Guess Im ordering connectors and not using my transceiver until the parts come in now.

> 24 hourWe certainly like the mount. However they barely fit the lip of the rear hatch on a Dodge Journey. They fit, however just barely. Grounding is an issue and loss of paint from opening and closing the hatch. The second mount we received had a loose NMO mount insert that we had to secure. The insert became lodged in the antenna and we had a heck of a time removing the insert to reinstall on the NMO mount, with thread lock. All in all, it beats drilling holes, dropping headliners, etc. You have to keep a constant eye on these mounts, but they work.

> 24 hourI remove the antenna and cover the mount with an NMO rain cap when I go through the car wash. I also switch between a 1/4 wavelength and 1/2 wavelength antenna, depending on terrain. About 40 antenna length for the 1/2 wave. I grounded the mount to the hood, and I achieve about 1.2 SWR at 145.460 MHz with the 1/4 wave antenna. I am very pleased with the mounts performance.

> 24 hourBought a glass car and need to have a hatch mount for my cx-224 antenna. 1st time using it seems pretty sturdy even with my tri band antenna on it.

> 24 hourI tried to use this as a rear door mount on a 2019 Toyota Tacoma. It is heavy, but the device seems to secure to the top of the door very well. BUT the problem is that it sticks out and catches all kinds of wind noise going at highway speeds. I tried turning the top of the unit around, but the knob to tighten the antenna is so big it pushes against the roof. Im hanging on to it in hopes of convincing my wife to let me attach it to the trunk of her car, but as a door mount, I just cant recommend it.

> 24 hourWith the 3 axis adjustment, this mount will connect to almost any point that has a lip. Nice, solid mount.

> 24 hourWhen it comes to similar trunk lid melts, this one has a larger, more bulky appearance in the more slim line version from Diamond. I do like the fact that has the larger more insulated coax cable for a majority of the installation, but I had a hard time getting the PL-259 adapter off the coax cable in order to run it through the vehicle. Also had a hard time with the junction of the two coax cables wanting to curl and kink constantly. Have concerns for longevity. Returned it and went with a diamond trunk lid mount instead.
