Upon plugging the outlet into the Wii U the first time and then into the wall and then turning on the Wii U, the lights on the Wii U started flickering, I heard crackling come from the Wii U and from the power supplys plug into my wall outlet, and after a few seconds everything turned off. It wont start now, Im assuming that either the power supply stopped working immediately or that it shorted out my whole Wii U. I guess well see. What a pain.

I knew something was wrong as soon as I got this. There was no weight to the box part of the adapter. Whatever was supposed to be in that box to make it work, wasn’t there. It didn’t work at all. Ordered a new one from another site and the weight difference was notable which backed up my thought that this adapter was just a shell.

This product is a con. When I inspected I found several odd discrepancies. First the weight was way off. Second the metal sockets did not have the same finish or texture. Third the was a rattle. I did plug it in and nothing happened. I would say just buy official products. There is a chance that this charger can short and fry the wii u

Like the title says, I was surprised to feel how light this charger felt compared to the original. It was worrying at first but it works great and I’ve had no problems with it. Very glad to continue playing virtual console games.

It works. The light weight thing feels like it’s cheap but that’s because the official Wii U one is so heavy. It works though. The plastic yellow plug feels a little cheap though
