This beauty sucks up dust from hardwood floors!! It used to take a broom, a dry swiffer and then a damp pass with yet another mop to make the floors look like this! Definitely saves me time! You can remove the long handle and use this vacuum to get the stairs as well. However, you will need to charge the battery fully if you expect to clean carpeted stairs, especially if you want to operate it on the highest suction setting. The reasons I cant give it the full five stars: -The battery life is poor. They warn you when you open the package that you will need to fully charge/fully drain (by using) up to three times before it operates normally. I vacuum a living room, dining room, kitchen and small bathroom about 4x a week and have to charge after two complete times. This is not a deal breaker for me, but something you may want to consider. -This vacuum does not like rugs, especially if they have lots of padding. However, there are 3 suction settings. When operated on the lowest one, it takes care of rugs beautifully. It just may not be getting deep down dirt. For that, you may need an extra charge on the battery so it can run at top suction. Once again, not a deal breaker for me. (Did I mention it sucks the dust off of hardwood floors?!!!)

Will not hold charge long enough

Works as advertised, the light helps a lot, and not having to constantly press the button to work makes it super handy.

UPDATE: We were noticing a continuing decline in battery longevity. After four months it still worked but often ran out before before we could finish doing our downstairs rooms. Now, the battery only runs the vac for just a couple of minutes before dying. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We’ve been using a VacMaster cordless vac for the past couple of years. Although it’s a good brand, ours has been unreliable. It was replaced once under warranty but now is back to little suction and much frustration. How does this new Shunzao compare? It’s better. Let me compare the two for you . . . (See photo with Zhunzao at left and VacMaster at right.) SUCTION POWER: For sheer performance, the Shunzao is effective. It has three settings while the Vacmaster has two. My husband and I share vacuum duties and both feel the Shunzao middle setting is just right for bare floors. It leaves nothing behind and the 2500 mAh battery lasts about 25 minutes. The use time is cut in half with the turbo setting so we use that only for our area rugs. Super effective on either setting with zero complaints about suction. When the VacMaster is working the way it should, it’s good but not as powerful as ths Shunzao. CONVENIENCE: We have gotten used to the differences between brands but have some suggestions. The VacMaster is not easy to turn on with its trigger switch. Changing power settings requires a long press of the switch which is a pain. The Shunzao remembers your last setting. For charging, the Shunzao battery needs to be lifited off the top of the vac. This requires two buttons to be pressed in from each side and then the vac needs to be held in one hand with the battery pulled up and off with the other. It can’t be charged with the battery in place because the plug is on the inner side of the battery. The VacMaster battery is easier to deal with because the plug is on top. For the Shunao, removing the battery to charge is a difficult. QUIETNESS: The Shunzao is the quiet. It would be a great choice for families with young children and afternoon naptimes. SHUNZAO VS. DYSON: We also considered the Dyson Animal but this Shunzao is less than half the price and we can’t imagine any cordless stick vac working better than this one. However, like the VacMaster, the Dyson battery can be plugged in and charged without lifting it off the vacuum. Thus we constructively suggest that Shunzao redesign the charging plug position to make a solid vacuum better.

This cordless vacuum is pretty awesome! The best feature is the light on the front of it. The worst feature is the battery pack is pretty hard to remove in order to recharge. Overall - sweet little house cleaner companion!

This was a great purchase! It is lightweight and a great battery life. It comes with versatile accessories and a holder. The ground brushes are actually better than my dyson vacuum! The brushes are softer and work on hardwood.

At first I thought this was just a Dyson wannabe, but it exceeds the functions and capabilities of my older Dyson. At half the cost this unit has 3 times the battery capacity and twice the suction. The headlights and swivel-to-flat head are a nice touch.

There is a button on handle that is metal that creates a terrible static electricity shock that does not stop. I’ve contacted the manufacturer with no response. It’s unfortunate because it works well but not worth the painful shocking that goes with it
