Painter Essentials installed effortlessly on my six year old desktop running the latest Windows 10 software. I knew nothing about the program but it comes with a number of tutorials that are quite good. The tutorials give general overviews but also more in-depth specific activities. Painter Essentials 7 lives up to what the Amazon website says and deserves 5 stars.

I am not known for my artistic talent in any way shape or form. If my spelling is a bit sketchy. But I got this hoping to learn more about digital brushes, how they work, and what I can do with them. My daughter, she’s very artistic, paints both on canvas and using digital software. So I wanted to be able to understand some of what she tells me.

the link to the add-on didnt work and it was shipped without an outer box. The box was severely damaged and opened in shipping. I was very grateful to discover the disc in tact. And corel customer service assisted me in getting a linke to download the add on

This was my first attempt at using an art program like this and I have to admit I was a little overwhelmed. The features are out of this world and create some of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen. There is definitely a learning curve to this, but if you are willing to invest the time to learn how to use this to its maximum potential, the results would delight.

There are two types in this world - Adobe loyalists, and everyone else. If you are an Adobe loyalist, you have to have deep pockets and a love of power, and complex programs. Then, theres the rest of us. This product is made for us. Corels Painter Essentials gives you the ability to create stunning graphics, and evolve photographic images beyond the touchup stage.

Corel painter essentials is the more simplified version of the full Corel Painter program. There is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to using painter, but there are plenty of online instruction manuals and video tutorials. I am more of a visual learner when it comes to these types of programs, so its nice to be able to see someone using this specific program to create their art.

I found this somewhat easy to figure out and user friendly. It certainly loads up quickly on my laptop and simple step by step instructions. I prefer still having a disk rather than navigating a program purely online. I found it really cool to experiment with but I mainly use the photo art stuff. I also love turning images into animation. I’d like to illustrate my own children’s book. This is really great technology that is great quality. I feel it helps keep my aging brain stimulated. I feel I have great control of creativity with this and plan to use it a long time if my grandchildren don’t break my laptop. They like turning their photos into paintings and I feel it is a skill building tool for them.
