Greater than one weekWhen putting hardware into a 500$ machine youd want a quality top name brand item. And this is it for an ssd you can go wrong will most likely outlast the ps5 if thermal pads are making contact, this baby is made to the highest standards as you can see if youve bought it! Do not cheap yourself out for a no name brand ssd you may regret it later.... my motto is buy once cry once, basically buy an item once and never have to worry about it failing as Ive done and learned my lesson with tvs.... I purchased a Toshiba fire TV that literally popped and almost caught fire 11 months later but have an LG thats 10 years old and has been thru WW3!!!! No lie its had soda spilled in it and shut off only to dry out and come on with lines thru the entire TV to a week later looked like new all of a sudden its been left in a wet basement and was flooded on when a pipe burst and Im honestly shocked it still works 100%. Basically dont waste your time on brands that arent trusted go with the tried and true. They will stand behind their products!!!!

25-11-2024Installed SSD twice. PS 5 did not recognize the SSD. Read online that you need to install it into the connector on PS 5 at 30 degree angle and then press it down to sit on the ring at 80. Screw it into the PS5. PS 5 recognized the SSD. Success! I took off one star off because of the installation difficulty.

> 3 dayThe extra 2tb is exactly what i need. The speed is over 6k which is lower than the posted read write speed indicated at 7100. Though thats up to 7100 so Im still ok with it.

> 3 dayJust be aware if You have the third gen PS5 (1200) The heat sink has been totally redone along with the entire motherboard. So there is no green base and the SSD does not snap in it just glides in. If you see older videos you will see the green base and youll hear them say you need to hear the snap. Thats not the case in the 1200.
