> 3 dayWorks like it’s supposed to be I personally can’t stand the iCUE Corsair software. It’s a burning pile of trash that doesn’t seem to want to work more than half the time and has even messed with settings on my computer unrelated to it. If there was a better option out there I’d go with it but it is the best looking, software just needs serious improvements.

09-06-2025I picked up a 2x16GB kit of DDR4-3600 to replace an old G.Skill 4x8GB kit of DDR4-3000 after upgrading to a Ryzen 7 5800x. After a bit of forum-hopping, I found out that Corsair tends to bin their RAM for their high-speed kits, and once they have enough to fill out their high-end product stack, they use the remaining stock to fill out their lower-speed SKUs. It seemed like the best choice, since most 3800MT/s kits are in the $250+ range.

> 3 dayIf you are still trying to game/multitask with 16 or 8gb of ram this is a must buy upgrade. 32gb is the bare minimum when it comes to modern gaming especially when trying to use discord, music, or any other programs in the background. You will notice almost immediately the difference when using this. If you are doubting upgrading because you don’t know how to install; I highly recommend watching a 1-2 minute YouTube video because it is super easy to do yourself and hard to mess up. The RGB also looks fantastic amongst my other rgb components. 10/10

> 3 dayGot the 32gb 2x16 3600mhz version, and was able to run it at 3700mhz with xmp. Definitely not as overclockable as corsair claims, but nevertheless pretty in your case and runs great.

> 3 dayWe got the Dreaded 1 Long 2 short beeps, When mixing with original memory just to get into bios we could see these Sticks were not recognized. Since these are RGB they are not listed on the Compatibility list for the X299 board, but the board does support 16 Gig Sticks (Max 128) so I would have expected this memory to work yet it did not. We tried to do Tuning to no avail. The Memory Lit up very nice looked good but since the computer would POST no way to test out the iCue. 6 Core Intel should have been able to see this Memory correctly.

> 3 dayLet my mobo set the speed and it got it right. Loaded up ICUE for the RBG effect and set it. Easy! Noticeable performance boost vs gskill. Heatsinks are great and hefty. Another hit for Corsair.

> 3 dayI bought it because it had good discount. If you dont care about RGB, then buy a smaller sticks. These ones have compatibility problems with coolers like Noctua NH-D15. RGB on RAM isnt worth it for me. Also they say its optimized for AMD (funny, since Intel is compatible with most RAM sticks and has far less problems), so expect this as an answer for your potential OC/XMP issues.
