> 24 hourThe bar is solid and does make grinding easier, I have heard claims that it makes the grinding 40% easier; I dont know about that, but I can definitely tell the difference. Like everything with this grain mill, it isnt cheap, but if you invested the money to buy the mill in the first place and dont plan to motorize it or use a bicycle to power it, then I would recommend this extension bar.

> 24 hourI needed something like this after milling a few pounds of grain without any extension--thats work! I looked at this after the price of motorizing my Country Living grain mill drove me away--$385. It takes the point of leverage out from 5 to about 9. Carl Bradys review of this $33 Extension Handle said Good concept, just not quite long enough, so I thought, why not make a longer one? I did that. Mine takes the handle out to 13.5 from the axis of the mill, using 3/16 x 3/4 bar stock, a bolt, a nut & a zip tie. Milling wheat berries is now a dream. Yes, the circle is big, but manageable. Its the same amount of work accomplished over a larger radius, but without the perspiration.

> 24 hourGlad I have it. Milling is a lot of work and this helps make it a little easier. The end product is worth it! Delicious! Also any exercise is better than nine!
