So far, the coldest weather Ive taken my son out in was in the 20s. I dressed him in a short sleeved onsie under a long sleeve and pants and its kept him warm. Some days, Id throw a knit blanket in the carseat with him and hed cry until he sweat through his clothing. The few critiques Id give this item is that the seat cover on the right (babys left) comes close to sticking him in the eye. Also, because my baby is three months old, with a big head (90th percentile) and the face flap actually touches his face if i try to use it. Other than that, Id say this is a good investment for parents living in cold areas. This will protect your baby from the elements for sure.

Easy to get use, fits well on my Chicco Key Fit carseat and looks great too. As your child gets bigger it becomes more difficult to get them out of the seat. Id say it worked great until my son hit 18lbs then we had to take it off.
