CRAFTSMAN Tape Measure, Chrome Classic, 30-Foot (CMHT37330S)

I cut through it partially with a skill saw on accident one day about 3 weeks ago and it still works like brand new. I use it pretty much everyday.

I bought this product to measure wide rooms and equipment by myself, thats the 30 ft long. The material is too thin, does not stay straight and in place when you are measuring an item 4 ft or longer. You need two people, one to hold the other end so that it would stay in place. The protruding part at the end does not stay where you hook or clip it, too short.

Love this sturdy tape measure and at a great price , love it .

The locking slide on the tape measure didnt work well, and the tape itself was flimsy. After only a few uses, the lock failed when I was measuring 30 feet, and the tape measure quickly retracted the whole way back in. And as you can see by the picture, somehow the end of the tape actually got severed when it flew back into the housing, making it unusable.

Its well made and worth the purchase.

American made. I bought this to replace my old Craftsman tape measure which served me for 25 years. I unknowingly dropped it in the snow, then just as unknowingly drove my truck over it.

It broke after a few uses. It will no longer lock in place. Trash.
