This scooter looks great and the build seems solid and high quality. BUT I can’t keep up with my little one’s balance bike on flat road ! I’m pushing with my foot as fast as I can. It’s very tiresome and I have to rest from time to time. I bought it for the hand brake. But if I can’t keep up with the kids just beats the purpose. Imagine when my son is on his bike. Still haven’t decide on the return. I really like other features. I’ll probably give it another try.

I am reviewing London Gold scooter. I don’t have much experience with scooters, if any. Last time I rode a scooter I was 8 years old. 30 years later I have to keep up with my 8yo who rides Razor A5 DLX. Both are bigger scooters, suitable for adults. and I am able to ride both. DLX is much smaller, shorter and lighter, the max height of the handlebar is barely tall enough for me (I’m 5’8”). I purchased London model and have been riding it for a few days. I was pretty impressed with the quality of the scooter out of the box. I am not sure how it will hold up long term, but I plan to put it to good use this summer. The coolest thing about this scooter is the folding mechanism - it’s triggered with the loop at the top of the steering bar, so no bending; when folded, front wheel is locked between the extensions of the deck - no swinging around and hitting my ankles. I tested the trolley function at a local grocery store: you have to be careful not to scrape the ends of the deck that “hug” the front wheel, otherwise it is very nice if you don’t want to leave the scooter outside. It is a heavy scooter. It is also larger than most teen/adult scooters around. My kid can ride and haul around most of teen/adult scooters, but not this one. Also, the handlebar extends higher than in most scooters. Lowest position worked for a 10 year old, but barely. I can use both 1st and 2nd positioning hole, depending on the style of riding applied, but 1st hole is the most comfortable. I think it is really an adult scooter, 3rd hole (the highest) can suit a pretty tall person. Wheels are larger than average 200mm. I was hesitant to get 230mm front wheel, so 215mm was just perfect. The thing I like the least about this scooter is the break. It requires quite a bit of effort. It’s a lot easier to slow down and stop on the Razor scooter. The ride is smooth and effortless on the smooth surfaces. You are going to feel every bump on the rough sidewalk. I don’t get stuck in small cracks or trip over small stones, but obviously I have to avoid big cracks and potholes. Razor has traditional foam handles, while London has cool rubber grips which definitely don’t help to mute the vibration from the bumpy ride. Although rubber grips provide a more secure hold for sure. Just from riding Razor A5 DLX and London scooter, it appears that London model requires more effort to push, maybe it’s due to its weight or the fact that the deck is slightly higher off the ground. But cruising downhill is amazing. So, to me it’s a wonderful high quality adult cruising scooter suitable for a tall adult/teen. It has a couple of weaknesses but it’s a better scooter than others I have researched. It lived up to my (high) expectations, so far. I wish I could try out the other 2 models, especially NYC. Beautiful kick scooter I purchased for my 10 year old. She is on the autism spectrum and this affects her coordination as well so I was stoked to find a scooter with the handlebar brake so we wouldnt have to rely solely on using her feet to stop the scooter. Assembly was fairly easy but you do have to attach the front wheel. Initially I couldnt do it and couldnt understand why I was having such a hard time until my dad showed me that the wheel barring, inside the wheel itself, was a bit loose which meant it wasnt centered enough to line up for proper assembly. We had to take a screwdriver and and of shimmy the barring into the center in order for everything to line up and attach properly. Easy fix, although not sure I wouldve been savvy enough to figure it out on my own. Scooter is durable and fast, big tires and handlebar brake seems to work well. Very pleased with this scooter.

If you are looking for a great adult scooter to use for exercise, look no further than the NYC scooter by Crazy Skates. To get proper exercise by using a scooter, you have to work both sides of your body equally; so you have to change feet to kick withe the other foot and keep changing back and forth. Personally, I change after every three kicks. To do that, you have to have a deck that is wide enough so that your feet are side by side with enough of your foot on the deck so it doesnt roll off and you twist an ankle. The NYC scooter is one of only two that, at 5.9 across, has a wide enough deck. Disappointingly, the other Crazy Skates scooters dont, which is a shame because I really like the look and features on the London model (Im hoping Crazy Skates will modify the London to have the wider deck, hint, hint). Dont be fooled by scooter listings that advertise an extra wide deck; go into the listing and look for the actual number in inches. If you are curious about if the advertised width will work for you, take a piece of scrap paper, fold it to match the advertised width, and put your sneakers side by side on it and see if youd be comfortable riding with that much of your foot hanging off the sides. I also love the large tires, which help make for a smoother ride. The deck has a good sandpaper finish for secure footing. The rest of the scooter is great quality too. I did have a problem with the kickstand dropping down while riding, but I reached out to the seller through Amazon and they sent me a new part with no problem, so props to Crazy Skates customer service. Be sure to tighten all the bolts before your first ride, and occasionally thereafter. All in all, Im very pleased with,my purchase.

I have put a few miles on my new skoot and really like it! Solid build materials and comfortable. The self stand feature is very helpful as well! Skoot on yall!

Bought one for myself and really liked how sturdy it is so I another in dark blue for my grandson, smooth ride and rolls quite a distance on flat surface without kicking. Nice that the handle bar adjust for adult or child so they can grow w it

This was the first scooter that I’ve ever purchased so I spent a lot of time researching before buying. I was looking for a scooter that would fold up for easy carrying and storage in my apartment, a carrying strap for when carrying it, a kickstand (I hate the idea of laying it on the ground) and with an adjustable handlebar so that I don’t have to stoop over while riding. This scooter had all of these things for a great price, plus I thought it was the best looking that I had seen. Build: The scooter itself is very solidly built from metal while also being very light, so I am guessing it is some sort of aluminum or other alloy. This isn’t a trick scooter for doing jumps, but more for cruising. The deck is nice and wide for my adult feet and the handlebars adjusted up high enough that I don’t have to bend over to use it. NOTE: The SYD model comes with the front wheel not attached. You have to install it by tightening one screw that they include. They also include two hex wrenches. You have to use both at once. Hold the bolt on one side with the first hex wrench to keep it in place, then tighten on the other side with the other hex wrench. You have to make sure it is really tight, obviously, as this wheel will be taking all the weight of the ride. I saw some other review saying the wheel came off, which obviously will happen if you don’t make sure the screw is done up real tight. Ride: Very smooth and stable while riding. The tires are urethane so they are good for the sidewalk and street in my neighborhood. The handle grips themselves are soft and comfortable, you don’t feel the metal handlebar underneath. Folding: This is the best part IMO. You pull on the black handle and the scooter folds in half. I can fit it in the hall closet easily. It also is handy when I want to carry it somewhere while out with it. I just fold and then use the carrying strap. I will update after a few more months if there are any issues.

I am a bigger guy and can ride this up and down the street like nothing. It’s fun if you have a little ones too.
