> 3 dayIve had this ruler for a couple years now and have been very afraid of it LOL ... BUT, now that I have figured out what this thing is on this Earth for, I dont know how I have done without it !! The Creative Grids video/demo helped some. I am doing the HOP TO IT machine embroidered appliqued quilt, which apparently is perfect for this ruler. My background blocks were cut to 10 to fit my 5x7 hoop. The instructions recommend you cut your blocks down to 9. Using this ruler, I am EASILY, CONFIDENTLY able to correctly center and trim down my embroidered/appliqued blocks. Notice on the ruler there are marks for INCHES in SOLID LINES and 1/4 INCH in DOTTED LINES. Neat little one inch square in the center of the ruler helps you align your ruler to your block/design. If I cant mess it up, you surely wont. It actually makes sense! I really feel like I have accomplished something these last few days, figuring out this 12-1/2in x 12-1/2in Square it Up Ruler by Creative Grids. I thought I had done something by making this appliqued HOP TO IT in queen size, where the orig pattern was about a throw size or so ... this ruler has had my goat for far too long ~ but I got her now buddy !! Theres no stopping me now !! :-)) Get one. Make sure its made by Creative Grids. Youll be glad you did. (No I dont work for them, but I sure do like their products)

> 3 dayI love CG rulers. They are far superior then others I have tried. They added expense is more then worth it for many reasons. 1. Accuracy being the first. I started with other brands struggling matching blocks because they would be off from one square to the next. 2. Durability. CG rulers are nice and thick. Not at all flimsy even with the longer ones. 3. Included seam allowances!! Most finished blocks are in full inches, CG rulers have 1/2 inch finishes with a standard seam being 1/4 genius! 4. Easy to read black and white markings on most fabric colorways. 5. The backing of CG have a grit like finish 1/4 in along the edges and grit like circles spread between them. Once pressue is applied they truly cease movement of the fabric until that pressure is released. My cuts have never been so perfect Those are my top 5 reasons I found CGR to be the only rulers Ill ever use. I hope This helps !! Thank You for reading

> 3 dayI love this for centering an image on a quilt square. I got it so I had one ruler to rule them all ha ha ha (LTR reference there for ya). A disadvantage is that you can only mark the four corners of the square to be cut, but an advantage is you only need one ruler to do all your fussy cuts.

> 3 dayPlease note the the picture does not match what you get. I ordered a square grid in spite of the picture, and I received what I expected.
