Crenova MS8233D Auto-Ranging Digital Multimeter DC AC Voltmeter Ohm Volt Amp Tester for Voltage Current Resistance Continuity Diode Frequency with Backlight LCD Display Test Leads

I have had a very simple Radio Shack volt=ohm meter for many years. I knew that it was not accurate; e.g., indicated more voltage on batteries than they had. It wasnt until recently that I realized the higher voltage it reported was NOT a % of the actual, but a + to every measure. For example, it might report that a new 1.5 volt battery was 1.55. No big deal there, but when a battery gets very low/is essentially exhausted, It would say it had 1 volt, vs. this multimeter saying the real voltage is 0.350. Big difference. Other positive features: Price (methinks its a bargain); it has slots on the back to store the probes (have never seen that on any other multimeter); the readout does not jump around even though the probes are solidly connected. I returned a Southwire meter I had bought at Lowes that did that.

I Like this Multimeter. Its durable , easy to hold and has all the basic functions I need. Especially the back lite function for dark areas while testing.

Easy to use and setup. Instructions are easy to understand. Works as a basic multimeter should for around the house and small projects. Over voltage and current protection on the device works as stated. Would recommend.

I went thru two batteries without knowing what was destroying them. The Crenova multi meter I ordered was what I needed to test the motorcycle electronics and isolate the problem to the bad voltage regulator. I installed the new one and a new battery. Tested the electronics with the Crenova multi meter to insure correct installation and operation. All is good now and enjoying riding my motorcycle again thanks to having a good Crenova multi meter.

I needed a new multimeter, because the 3 or 4 I have are nearly 40 years old. I looked at quite a few and found that this one looked good for the price. It works well and I use it primarily as a bench meter for small projects. The two sets of leads are a nice feature. The display is easy to read and the integral stand helps a lot on the bench. The semi hard case is nice and seems to protect the meter pretty well. All in all Im satisfied with the purchase so far.

Im using this for some Raspberry Pi projects and its quick and easy to use for my needs. Definitely a great tool in this space!

Meter works as indicated. The carrying case was a great bonus. Display is easy to read.
