I bought the wrong memory and returned it.

Replaced the wimpy 8GB (2x4GB) modules that came with my dell optiplex 7040 micro with these 32GB (2x16GB) modules, and it fired right up with no problems whatsoever. Always check crucial.com for compatibility first!

AMD Ryzen 5 4600H powered Pavillion comes with dual channel slots, one with an 8 GB stick. I populated the slots with this memory without issue. 32 GB is overkill for most users, but I do game and sometimes edit video. Whatever RAM you get for this machine, be sure to get dual rank, 3200.
